Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is its shipping dimensions? I'm talking about the outer box dimensions. Thanks.

A: The shipping dimensions for this product are 35 x 20.50 x 9.50 .

Q: 2. What is the height of the bar, to push the cart, from the ground?

A: the bar is 34" the height from the ground to the platform is 12" total around 46"

Q: 3. Would this be able to fit a 1750 pelican case when fully assembled?

A: Yes, will be a nice snug fit as the flatbed of the MultiCart RocknRoller R12RT comes in at 34-52 inches fully extended.

Q: 4. Can anyone recommend the best securing straps and methods for tying down equipment for this cart?

A: I use 2 ratchet straps when I load this thing to the gills with lighting and grip equipment. It's mostly to keep the cases/bags from falling off the cart. The cart itself is rock solid and can take whatever straps you throw on it.

Q: 5. what is the difference between the stealth and normal version? just the color?

A: This version has some silver and yellow bits. The stealth is all black.

Q: 6. Whats the difference between this one and the R12rt?

A: The front casters are different - R12rt has 8 x 2.5 no-flat swivel casters and R10rt 5 x 1.25 front swivel casters with brakes.

Q: 7. What is the deck width for the R12RT? Only the box dimension is given. Thanks.

A: The outside width dimensions of the square metal tubing deck is about 13.5 inches. I use the optional base boards with all three of my carts which provide a better, solid deck and expands the deck out to a 16-inch width.

Q: 8. How does this handle being checked on a plane? Should extra protection to the wheels be given when checking it in?

A: I've checked it in four times an all the times we taped down the handle bars. Three times it was fine. And the fourth, one of the tabs that holds the handle bar got really bent and I had to use a crowbar to fix it. If it continued at that pace, I would think it would survive about 4 more beatings or a total of 20 trips. But you're really at the mercy of the handlers. If you do travel, I would put fragile stickers on it and wrapping the whole thing in plastic wrap.

Q: 9. What is the rear axle diameter?

A: The rear axle diameter of the MultiCart RocknRoller R12RT 8-in-1 All-Terrain Equipment Cart is 3/4".

Q: 10. Regarding the R18RT, God forbid, if the 8x3 casters or 10x3 wheels got damaged, is it easy to contact B&H and get 10x3 wheels and/or 8x3 replacement casters?

A: We do carry the wheels. Some of them have an estimate of 3-7 business days to get from the manufacture once you order.

[Steel] I've owned a few of these carts in different sizes and they are great. This is a small one without the step rails. I never pulled them up steps anyway. It has plastic wheels and all 4 of them turn so its easy to maneuver. It slides together to 29 1/2". Its sturdy and holds things well.
If you need a small cart this works well.

[22.25 lb] I bought my first one from the original manufacturer here in Houston over 25 years ago. That one finally wore out, but I have two more that have ben in constant use almost that long. Just bought this Stealth model to replace one that has just about seen the end of its life. I like the larger casters for off-road applications, and this one seems solid and well-built. The critical wear point, where the pivot pin is inserted that lets the ends of the frame fold, looks re-engineered to last longer under the heavy use to which mine are typically subjected.

[22.25 lb] game changer, life saver. you can extend between the shortest lengths and the longest length. makes it very easy to adapt to different size items. buy bungees or ratchet straps to help hold your items down.

[Solid] I put this cart right to work. I have to move a lot of tool bags in and out of office buildings. I made a shelf out of plywood for the top and now I have a work station. I love the cart so much I got the big brother all terrain one too. I used that one to haul cabinets into houses.

[22.25 lb] Electrical, lights, stands, cameras, sandbags topped with an 8' roll of seamless - as primarily a solo shooter, this would have taken trip after trip to bring into the venue, but not this time. I was able to bring all of this in one trip, saving time and energy. The RocknRoller can do many things, but the best is being a One-Trip Pony.

[22.25 lb] This cart changed the way I work. I can fit all my gear on this, and load into a location. It expands a lot and rolls super smooth. I also bought this surface deck thing that fits on these carts. It's call LAVA CART NYC. They have outlets right on the top surface.

[Solid] I've owned a production company since 2014 and we never had a cart. Don't Judge. We do commercial and corporate work, and so many times we'd just ask the building if they had a cart. So dumb. They only did about half the time, so we were left just dragging cases everywhere.

We finally worked with a DP who had one of these and knew we needed to immediately buy one. This thing is incredible. Just an absolute workhorse. Expands far enough to fit everything and I never feel like we're putting too much weight on. It's the tried and true cart of many DPs. Can't believe we went so long without it.

[Solid] I was put off at first by the price of this cart and actually looked around for quite a while to find something comparable. Well, I couldn't find anything with the features and capabilities of this cart anywhere, so I got this one.
When it arrived and I picked up the box I was surprised at how heavy it was. This is not a little cart that you pick up with one hand and carry it around.
It assembled fairly easily, although one of the swivel casters was challenging to properly seat and required a few blows with a hammer.
I was very impressed with the build quality, as well as the features. Both arms at the ends fold down, using a unique system. The bed of the cart extends to 54 and holds a LOT of gear. The wheels roll silently and even when loaded with several hundred pounds, it's virtually effortless to move around.
Definitely worth every penny.
