[0.065 lb] This cap is well-machined and modest price. It fits thread-mount Leitz lenses with the 39mm × 26 tpi (threads per inch) mount and Soviet lenses with their 39 × 1 mm mount. I have not tried it on Japanese thread-mount lenses, but they are supposed to be identical to the Leitz lenses. 5

[0.065 lb] Not many better ways out there to protect your filter like this one. Can easily store it and travel with it without worrying about anything happening to the glass. Would be nice if there was a silicon coating or something like that to protect whatever else is being stored with it from being scratched up, but if you pack it up strategically, it shouldn't be an issue. 5

[55 mm] I had used plastic or padded filter protection for years and found these metal caps earlier this year. After buying some smaller (less expensive) ones for smaller filters I bought this to cover my expensive 86mm polarizer. Cap fits well and is very study. I feel confident having the filter in my bag's side pouches knowing it will be protected. 5
