Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Am I missing something with this tripod and it's shining reviews? The legs seem wobbly and the fluid head seems a bit cheap and jerks a bit if you move too far to the left or the right. Am I doing something wrong or what am I missing?

A: Typically lightweight travel tripods are less stable and less smooth than their bigger heavier counterparts. This tripod doesn't have a ton of reviews so it is hard for us to say why some people have great reviews while others have negative reviews. Here are a few things to consider when putting your experience with the product in perspective. 1. In regards to the legs they are what they are. As long as the locks function properly there is no way to improve the stability of the legs. I do see a review that rave about the build quality of the tripod but smaller tripods are made of lighter weight materials which are often less stable. This is even more true of inexpensive tripods where they often use a lot of plastic instead of metal which can make the tripod feel cheap. 2. Make sure the locks on the head are completely off. some tripods have a dial that enables you to add/subtract resistance but this tripod head does not. it only has a break if you engage it partially it will create jerky movements. 3. most of the reviewers admit that they are not experienced photographers or that they purchased it as a gift for someone. For their needs the Milliboo seemed to meet or exceed their expectations but for you it seems it may have fallen short. For the record your experience would be a valuable addition to the review section to add more context for other shoppers who are potentially interested in this product. We hope to aid people in being as informed as possible about products before they purchase. 4. speaking of being informed if you ever have any questions feel free to reach out to us either through Chat (at the top of the page) or over the phone at 1-800-606-6969 and we'd be happy to help you figure out whether or not the Milliboo tripod is a good investment for you and if necessary help you find an alternative.

Q: 2. Can it fit on the side of backpack for dslr?

A: That really would be dependent on the backpack you are using and if it has a strap of some kind for a tripod. What we can tell you is this folds up to 16.42 inches and weighs 4.3 pounds. So it is pretty compact and not very heavy.

Q: 3. Do these tripod legs ( MTT701AWH ) come with a carry case ?

A: No, the miliboo MTT701AWH legs do not come with a carry case.

Q: 4. can I use milibo mt705b monopod with myt803 fluid head?

A: No, the miliboo MYT803 Fluid Head with 75mm Bowl Base with Advanced Damping is a 75mm bowl head that does not offer a flat base that threads to the miliboo MTT705B Carbon Fiber Portable Monopod.

Q: 5. If you were to remove the camera mount and leg stand from the monopod, how long would the tube be in a completely folded state?

A: It would be approximately 21.6 inches.

Q: 6. The max load of 22lbs seems high compared with over travel video tripod (usually less than 10 lbs). Is this data reliable, and why ?

A: The miliboo MUFA Aluminum Travel Tripod has a max load of 11lbs.

Q: 7. Does the MYT801 head have separate drag adjustments for tilt vs drag friction?

A: No, the miliboo MYT801 Fluid Head with 75mm Flat Base does not provide individual drag control for the fluid head.

Q: 8. Can this be used without the tripod legs? Detachable I guess is what I’m trying to say.

A: Yes the legs can be detached from the bottom of the monopod as needed.

Q: 9. A couple of questions: - ARCA quick release? - says weight is 4.7lbs for either Aluminum or Carbon Fiber -- that can't be right

A: The miliboo MUFB-BK Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit (BH #MIMUFBBK) is the carbon fiber version of the miliboo MUF-BK series tripods, where as the miliboo MUFA-BK Aluminum Tripod Kit (BH #MIMUFABK) is the aluminum version. The miliboo MUFB-BK Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit weighs 4.34lbs and the aluminum version weighs 4.7lbs. The quick release plate is not Arca compatible.

Q: 10. Where can I find a replacement plate-locking lever for the 3/8 screw?

A: For Miliboo tripod service parts the best contact is the following - https://bit.ly/3y2paES

[9.395 lb] I was a bit skeptical what the quality would be considering the price. There are other monopods at 2 or 3 times the price. I was pleasantly surprised. Most importantly, it is very sturdy but light weight due to the carbon fiber construction. I like the 3 supportt legs with the rotating base which adds stability. I use it for wildlife with my Nikon D7100 attached with battery pack, mounting my Sigma 150-600 C lens, all weighing a whopping 8.5 to 9.0 lbs.

[Twist Lock] it's as good as the manfrottos ( I know, low bar, right?) and as cheap as some of the worse brands. It even came with a miliboo coin.

[Fluid Head] I haven't had a chance to test these legs out in varying circumstances, however, my first impressions indicate these legs are heavy duty and extremely sturdy. I like the quick release leg extenders and the fact this does not have a spreader. It functions easily and well. I plan to put this through heavy duty use and I will update this review if applicable.

[Yes] After years of using Sachtler tripods, switching to this TS100CF-Q has been a game changer. It can counterbalance my RED and Pictor Zooms. The variable drag feature enables precise adjustment of the shot, whether I'm aiming for a slow pan or a whip. With the pan drag zeroed out, It recently handled a 360 pan shot seamlessly—something that an OConnor head cannot do. I also purchased the mid-level spreader and feet. Which were a necessary for my outdoor shoots and allowed me to get lowered angled shots.

[Twist Lock] Incredible value. Very well made and as smooth on pans and tilts as my Sachtler FSB-8, but holds 14 lbs more and is way, way less expensive than the Sachtler equivalent.

[Yes] Both this fluid head and tripod clearly tried to do something different. Whether that's a good of bad thing, I leave that up to you. For the tripod the first thing I noticed was that there's only one set of release tabs for both stages. I thought this was a mistake until I realized that loosening them and tightening them effects both stages. It's a novel design, but I kind of like it: one less thing to do and undo when raising and lowering it.

For the fluid head again something I noticed missing was the fluid/drag adjustments. But when trying the head out I noticed that the speed at which you whip seems to effect the resistance on the pan and tilt of the head. Over all it's definitely a different design than I'm accustomed to. It takes some getting used to, sure, but considering the huge weight capacity for the price, I think it's an amazing deal!

[Fluid Head] I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with the TS100CF-Q tripod—it's the lightest 100mm bowl option available, making it a breeze to carry around. The included shoulder strap for the carry bag is a game-changer for me, making transportation to and from locations effortless. Adding an extra base plate to all my cameras was a smart move, allowing for rapid setup, and the 1-lever, 2-stage feature on the legs is a huge time-saver on set.

[Twist Lock] Just unboxed these legs and gave an initial test. Very heavy duty and solid. It appears to have good craftsmanship and I actually like it better than my Manfrotto 545B three stage with spreader because the Miliboo feels stronger. No regrets with this purchase.

[+90° to -70°] I am pleasantly surprised that at this price point the head is professional quality.
