The 95mm Kase Mirror Filter 95mm for Photographyfrom Kase Mirror Filter 95mm for Photographyfeatures an opaque, nonreflective black circle sandwiched between two sheets of B270 optical glass to create an unusual effect filter. The black circle does not read in the image but combines a slight, soft defocus effect paired with halo-shaped highlights from light points in the image area. The halo shape's effect varies with the aperture, allowing the impressionistic effect to be adjusted.

The placement of the opaque black circle may cause some autofocus systems to not fully function, but by recomposing the shot and holding the focus point, the shot may still be taken. The circle is fully protected by glass on both sides and will not scratch off or otherwise wear away.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This filter works with canon 70-200 L 2.8 lens?

A: Yes, the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Solid ND Filter with Lens Adapter Ring will work on the Canon 70-200mm L f/2.8 lens. Please note that the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens uses an 82mm filter thread—make sure you order the correct filter thread size for you lens.

Q: 2. Is it possible to remove and mount lens hood while the magnetic adapter is attached to the lens thread ?

A: It will depend on the particular hood that is used with magnetic adapter that is included with the Kase Wolverine Magnetic ND32,000 Solid Neutral Density 4.5 Filter with 82mm Lens Adapter Ring (15-Stop). If the hood is very narrow, the magnetic adapter may get in the way and not allow you to mount it, but wider hoods that flare out, usually will work fine with the magnetic adapter on the lens.

Q: 3. Will this work with the normal magnetic filter rings you get in wolverine kits if the mm size is the same?

A: Yes, the Kase Wolverine Magnetic ND64,000 Solid Neutral Density 4.8 Filter with 82mm Lens Adapter Ring (16-Stop) is part of the Kase Wolverine Magnetic system and will work with other Kase Wolverine Magnetic filters.

Q: 4. Can I step-up from 77mm to larger sizes to avoid vignetting?

A: You can use a larger filter such as 82mm, and use a step down to help minimize the vegetating.

Q: 5. Has anyone used this system with a Canon RF 15-35? If so do you get vignetting at 15mm when stacking the ND and CPL filters?

A: By adapting the 95mm filters to an 82mm filter size, there will be no vignetting when stacking 3 filters.

Q: 6. May the Canon the 52mm filter be used on an EF-M 55-200mm lens in conjunction with an et-54B hood?

A: Yes this will fit that lens and can be used with the lens hood on.

Q: 7. Using a Zeiss Milvus 15mm: the lens has a 95mm filter size and 110* angle of view. Will the 95mm filter kit vignette or should I consider the next size up with a step-up ring?

A: There is always some vignetting when using ultra wide lenses with front ND filters. Whether or not the amount is acceptable to you will depend on your personal preference. However, given the distance between the front element of that specific lens and the edge of the front of the lens where the filter threads are, I would not expect such vignetting to be a result of the rim of the filter. Rather, it would be due to the angle of the entry of light and the fact that it has to go through the filter somewhat sideways. Again, this is normal with ultra wide angle lenses.

Q: 8. Hola, I my lens is 82 mm 16mm wider what filter do I need?

A: The manufacturer suggests using the Kase Wolverine Magnetic ND64 Solid Neutral Density 1.8 Filter with 95mm Lens Adapter Ring (6-Stop), BH # KAND64MR95 https://bhpho.to/3xqK9jJ

Q: 9. Do these have any play in the fit? The set I have has a lot of play side to side on the filter and even more on the cap

A: Yes. The play is to help prevent scratches from being caused.

Q: 10. what's the difference between the Skyeye and Wolverine series from Kase?

A: The difference between the Skyeye filters and the Wolverine Magnetic Circular filters are the Skyeye filters have a filter thread on the outside frame, making them compatible with standard screw in filters. The Skyeye also gives you some of the same benefits as the Wolverine filters when it comes to color balance and clarity. The difference lies in the additional coating on the Wolverine Magnetic Circular filters and no filter thread on the outside frame, making them slimmer and lighter. The Wolverine filters have an additional nano coating which makes the filters scratch resistant, waterproof, anti reflective, easy to clean and toughened glass.

[Glass] These work great on my Sony A7s for video work. Solves the lack of built in nd filter when shooting video on a mirrorless camera.

[Glass] This is a pretty special lens which can create some impressive effects. But, it's not one for picking up and playing with straight away. Needs a bit of effort to understand how it works. I've been spoilt over the years by Fuji lenses which you can get going with straightaway. Definitely worth it though.

[Aluminum] This little Faux leather case is awesome! It clips right to my belt and matches my style when filming weddings. It's really handy to have my filters right at my side since most of my work is Run N Gun. All of my filters are 82mm, and this fits all of them, with room to spare! Bought it because it looks like an old camera case, and I like that style!

[0.32 lb] I'm using this case to hold five 82mm filters, including a CPL. The case is very nice looking and its smooth surface makes it easy to get in and out of a pocket. The price is also very reasonable.

[Aluminum] This filter is a must-have if you want a close-up of the upcoming solar eclipse. It is very convenient to put on and take off - something you must be able to do to capture a total solar eclipde.

[Aluminum] I own the Kase Revolution Pro ND filter kit and this UV filter is made to work with the kit. Like all the Kase products I own, this is well made and easy to attach to the lens. I will be buying more of these for the rest of my lens.
