The Bogen Communications UHF8011BP is a rackmount wireless lavalier microphone system that brings reliable transmission and high-quality audio to presenters, performers, clergy, and lecturers. Fast to set up and easy to operate, it is suitable for A/V installations in lecture halls, conference rooms, and houses of worship as well as for use in broadcast applications.

The UHF8011BP features a half-rack receiver with antenna diversity reception via dual detachable 1/2 wave antennas in the rear. The receiver's auto-scan function searches a 36 MHz UHF tuning range with 114 selectable frequencies available, seeking out a clean, interference-free channel, even when operating multiple systems simultaneously.

This configuration comes with a BCLM1 cardioid lavalier microphone optimized for speech intelligibility in applications where a visually unobtrusive microphone is desirable. The bodypack transmitter runs on two AA batteries, with a switchable 10 or 50 mW RF power output and a line-of-sight transmission range up to 500'.

  • Transmitter clips to clothing and features TA4M 4-pin input jack for microphone
  • Cardioid lavalier microphone picks up less background sound
  • The bodypack transmitter is powered by two AA batteries
  • Power switch doubles as mute switch with quick press
  • Backlit LCD shows group, channel, and battery status
  • Mic input level adjustable from receiver
  • Lightweight design with external charging port for rechargeable batteries— requires UHFDCD dual charging dock (available separately)

1/2 Rack Tabletop Receiver

  • Detachable 1/2 wave antennas
  • Multifunction, backlit LCD showing group, channel, frequency, and transmitter battery strength
  • The back panel houses a balanced XLR mic/line level output as well as an unbalanced 1/4" instrument-level output
  • Output volume control via front panel
  • Rackmountable with RPK900 single/dual rackmount kit (available separately)

  • Adding the UHFASA antenna signal amplifier and/or the UHFUDA passive unidirectional antenna (both available separately) increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello: Max Microphones per Band 2. What does this mean? Can I use 3 Samson XPDm systems at the same time?

A: Under the specifications for "System" there is a spec for "Max Transmitters per Band" which lists "2". This means that a maximum of two Samson XPDm Digital Wireless Microphone Systems can be used at the same time within the 100-foot maximum operating range. So it is not possible to use more than two of the XPDm systems at the same time within a 100-foot range.

Q: 2. Does push to talk mean the default is for the mic to be off and a user needs to hold the button down when talking? Or does it toggle on and off?

A: The Bogen DDU250 Desktop Dynamic Gooseneck Microphone has a programmable switch that can be set for either push-to-lock or push-to-talk operation. Push-to-talk is a momentary function that engages the mic only when the button is pressed and held. As soon as the button is released, the mic switches off. Push-to-lock allows the switch to be locked in the on position so the mic is active until the switch is pressed again to turn the mic off.

Q: 3. is this simply plug into an outlet ?

A: the Bogen Communications DDU250 does not require any power to operate. The unit will ship with a bare wire cable that needs to be wired into an existing PA or intercom system.

Q: 4. Can I add handheld microphones?

A: This is a single channel receiver, you can use a handheld with it as long as it's made by Sennheiser and it runs in the same frequency, however you wont be able to use both the lavalier and handheld at the same time.

Q: 5. How do you program the paging vox

A: Please contact Bogen Communications directly:50 Spring St., Ramsey, NJ 07446 USATel: 201-934-8500 Fax: 201-934-9832a href= http://www.bogen.com target= _blank www.bogen.com/a

Q: 6. Can I use it on a computer (Apple)?

A: Yes the Galaxy Audio GT-V Trek Series will work with your computer.

Q: 7. Not going into a PA system. Will it work ok with putting a XLR connector on going into a board for talk back?

A: It should work without issues. The paging functionality it's important when you are picking up the Amp, witch is the device that attenuate the music when the pagin relay on the mic it's activated.

Q: 8. Can this be used with a sound board if I use a 3/4 adaptor?

A: Yes, the Movo Photo WMX-1 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System can be connected with a mixer. You can use a cable like the Kopul Stereo Right-Angle 1/8" Male Mini-Jack to XLR Male Cable - 1.5' (B&H # KORSMXM015) to connect to an XLR mic input on the mixer, or you can use a 1/4" adapter like the Comprehensive Stereo 1/4" Male to Stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) Female Adapter (B&H # COSPPMJS) along with the TRS cable included with the wireless mic system to connect to a 1/4" mic input on the mixer.

Q: 9. do you need an external amp with the PCM 2000 system ?

A: Yes, you still need an external amp with this system. The PCM 2000 in no way amplifies, only splits paging up into zones.

Q: 10. one mic is louder than the other. is there anyway to fix this?

A: Make sure that both microphones are connected to the mic input (not the line input) on each of the transmitters. Since the WMX-1-DUO system does not have individual level controls for each transmitter and people do tend to speak at different volume levels, try experimenting with placement of the microphones on each person wearing a mic. Try moving the mic closer to the mouth of the person whose volume is lower or move the mic further away from the mouth of the person whose volume is louder. If you find that there is still an usual difference between the output levels of each mic, please contact us for further assistance so we can do additional troubleshooting to determine whether there may be a problem with one of the mics or transmitters..

[Off/On Switch] Works great! I use it for educational videos to provide wireless and hands free flexibility since I have to shoot and often assist in the demonstration if I am not the one doing it myself.

[2.2 Kilohms] There are not many reasonably priced gooseneck mics on a base with press-to-talk and lock-on as well. There are 5 conuctors including shield, two for remote switching to duck background music in a paging application. That's what I'm using it for. It sounds good, no feedback. I couldn't ask for more

[114] This microphone picks up exceptionally as we are using it. We have it mounted to a lectern and is used for a single speaker in a mid sized open auditorium. We were getting pretty bad feedback with our last mic and this one solved that issue.

[Analog UHF ] I have the XRL version.  Very clean sound and very easy to use.   I typically have it connected to my Zoom H6 and that feeds into my main camera, a Canon XA50.  I most often record in our studio classroom with very little interference but need the mobility of a wireless mic.  Looking forward to using the system in the field soon.
