The white Shure Shure R183W-A Omnidirectional Cartridge for MX WL Micsis an omnidirectional mic cartridge compatible with all Microflex and WL series microphones. The modular design of the MX and WL series allows you to swap cartridges and use a different electret condenser microphone capsule without having to purchase an entire mic. The R183 features a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound from 360° around the capsule, helping to provide consistent levels even when the talent turns away from the microphone.

[11 to 52 VDC] Forget your RE50/B's and get out of the '50s. Give up your hammers and get this one. Every bit as rugged, but better freq response, and contoured right at the speech points of the spectrum. Hears up to 20 KHz, +/- 3 db down to 80 Hz. No need for low cut filter. Speech is clear and fresh, like a spring brook. 5

[Omnidirectional] This foam screen really addressed the problem for us, we are actually using it with Audio Technica mic which was really sensitive to plosives but with this screen the issue is solved. You can blow directly in to the mic and no longer get a nasty pop. 5

[0.15 lb] Even though these are larger than the originals; they perform great. Excellent clarity and very little popping from different speakers with a variety of vocal ranges. 5

[50 Hz - 17 kHz] We use this product on a lavalier style microphone transmitter. We already had a cardioid microphone on it, but when the speaker turned his head, it didn't catch the audio (like it's supposed to). So, we got this omnidirectional replacement cartridge which worked well. It was a little bit difficult to remove the old windscreen, but after that the old cartridge unscrewed with no problem and this one screwed in easily - windscreen back on and now we have a clear omnidirectional microphone! 5

[50 Hz - 17 kHz] We lost our windscreen while moving our mic. This on is perfect for our Shure goose neck mic. Solved our problems. 5

[70.5 dB] When faculty use wireless mics in classrooms they often clip them onto their lapels with the mic pointing over their shoulders and sometimes the fabric of their clothing is too thin so the mic flops down and points towards the floor. With a cardioid directional cartridge this make them almost inaudible. In rooms where feedback is not an issue, this omni cartridge can eliminate that problem since it picks up sound from all directions. 5

[Omnidirectional] My customer uses their SM-58 wireless microphone for meetings and no one could figure out how to speak into the mic. Now with this omnidirectional cartridge they don't need to speak into the mic, just near it! 5
