Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this microphone fits the PDWM4400 transmitter? One of the headset microphone comes with the PDWM4400 did not work. If it does not work, can you suggest one similar to this headworn microphone for PDWM4400 transmitter?

A: Yes the Pyle Pro PMHM2 will work with the Pyle Pro PDWM 4400.

Q: 2. Do these work with Sennheiser belt packs?

A: No, the Pyle Pro PMHM2 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone has a non-locking 3.5mm connector for wireless transmitters like the RODE Wireless GO II or DJI Mic. As a compatible option for Sennheiser wireless transmitters, you can use the Polsen ESM-2-35H Dual-Sided Earset Microphone (B&H # POESM235H), which is close in price and has the locking 3.5mm TRS connector.

Q: 3. Will this work with the pdwm8900?

A: The TA4F connector attached to the Pyle Pro PMHMS20 is not compatible with the beltpacks supplied with the PDWM8900 system which require a 3.5mm jack.

Q: 4. What bodypack systems is the 3.5 mm ts compatible with?

A: The Pyle Pro PMHM2 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone can be used with any wireless bodypack transmitter that has a standard non-locking 3.5mm mic input such as the RODE Wireless GO II Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder, the DJI Mic Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder, the Saramonic Blink 500 Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Microphone System, and the Synco WAir Ultracompact Digital Wireless Microphone System, to name just a few. The PMHM2 can also be used with other devices that have a 3.5mm mic input including audio recorders, tablets, and computers.

Q: 5. How Long does the charge last on the receiver?

A: The receiver battery for the Pyle Pro PDWMU211 2-Person Wireless UHF Microphone System will last up to approximately 6 hours.

Q: 6. Do you need to connect it to a speaker

A: Yes

Q: 7. Hi, I m wondering if this mic compitible and can be used for Audio Technica Pro 10 wireless system? thanks

A: This microphone has a Shure TA4F connector which is very common and popular. AT body pack uses the HIROSE HR10A-7P-4S connector. So if you want to use this Pyle Pro mic with the AT 10 PRO bodypack you will need an adapter converter cable. The only company that I know that sells such a cable is in England called micronic. The adapter cable is expensive. Alternatively, I have been told AT will install the HIROSE connector to any microphone you send them for $30 per microphone. I think purchasing an adapter cable is the best solution. But I have not tried this idea and so I can not guarantee this will work. I hope this helps

Q: 8. Can I plug this mic into a regular audio interface Mic Pre?

A: Greetings: I am researching this question myself. First of all, there are a few microphones from Shure and Audio Technica that are made to directly plug in ot XLR fittings that go into a mixer board. The unit that is by Pyle most likely will require phantom power to work, since wireless body paks provide about 9 volts for energizing the microphone. A possible risk point with a direct connection is that phantom power typically is 48 volts, far beyond the scope of what this microphone is usually fed with. This is an involved subject,

Q: 9. is this compatible with Mipro Act-7ta?

A: Although we are unable to test to fully confirm, the Pyle Pro PMHMS20 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone for Shure Wireless Transmitters uses the appropriate TA4F connection for use with the MiPro ACT-7Ta Wideband UHF Bodypack Transmitter and has a good chance of compatibility with this wireless system.

Q: 10. Does this PMHM2 works with PDWM8900 or similar system?

A: Yes the Pyle Pro PMHM2 will work with the Pyle Pro PDWM8900. They both have 3.5mm and connectors.

[Beige] We needed a head-worn microphone for our church services but had a limited budget. I was hesitant about this microphone at first d to its really low cost in comparison to some other brands, but decided to try it anyway. Another selling point was the beige color that makes it less obtrusive. I wired a small adapter to change the connector pin out to match the EV body pack wireless transmitter we had. This microphone works great and we have been using it every week for over a year with no problems. We record the sermons live and the recorded and in-house live audio is remarkable, especially for a unit so competitively priced. The wiring isn't heavy duty, but I still give this microphone five stars based on the performance and value.

[Beige] The headset is very comfortable and easy adjust. The mic itself sounds really good. Great tone and a great presence in the room!! We were using a DPA headset and were having problems getting it to stay in the position we needed which lead to problems with tone and eq and gain. We went to a cheaper Galaxy Audio headset while we waited for this mic and I’m glad we waited. This mic is a game changer!!

[Omnidirectional] This mic has a smaller cartridge than the single-hook Pyles, and a clearer and a little warmer sound. Pyle also upgraded the strain-relief in the connector. I just finished a student musical with 18 of these and no failures. If you cannot afford Countryman, these are a viable alternative.

[Plug-In Power] As the audio tech for our church, I bought this mic to replace an aging and fraying Countryman over-the-ear mic. We've had it for only two weeks and so far no problems. No more taping the mic to the face of the pastor and fighting to shape the ear holder. The headpiece fits well and stays in place, and the mic sounds just as good as the old mic. Note that this mic puts out a stronger signal into the Shure SLX1 body pack transmitter and the receiver can show a lot of red (clipping) for signal strength for a strong voice. That was fixed by setting the body pack gain switch to 0 (db) instead of the mic position, which allowed the gain/trim on the mixer to be set back to its normal position. As others have said, at this price it can't be beat. I plan on buying two more as spares.

[9 x 6.45 x 2.6"] We have many different persons using our microphones and they take a beating. Used a countryman before great product but not so great product. I am no sound expert but these little mikes offer similar response and sound. Bought four and use them extensively

[1.5 to 10 V] I had another brand that cost a lot more - but the wires kept breaking.
The sales tech offered this as an option at a fraction of the cost, plus a 3 yr warranty for only $9.99! I bought 2 for the price of one of the other brand (with the warranties!!) I then found it not only fits better - it is a superior microphone!!!! It works perfectly wit hour belt pack transmitter - no issues at all!!

[9 x 6.45 x 2.6"] Like others, I was skeptical, but I read the reviews from church and school A/V leaders who said this picks up the spoken word just as well as any other microphone, and they were correct. I help with the A/V department at my church, and we ordered a couple of these, and they work just fine. I dont know how long it will last, but at the price, it can be easily replaced many times over vs. the cost of an expensive headworn mic.
