Serves as a lanyard as well as a wrist strap because of the adjustable clasp. Also breaks away when needed if your neck gets caught in the lanyard and you need it to break loose. Simple but effective product.

[Silicone] Works great, I can fill a 256 Gb card by recording for hours, or until the 12 gets too hot. Plug in a small battery back up and video away.
However, don’t recall mine getting too hot as I was recording mostly in AC conditioned rooms.

[0.185 lb] I got the media mod when I got the hero 9 black. Since then I also used it with the hero 10 black and hero 12 black. It is only with the hero 12 black that it can be used with the front and back mics at the same time. Also, it used to make the GoPro freeze on regular basis with the hero 9 and hero 10 black, but not with the 12. Also it is a pain to dismount the folding fingers from the tripod, fold them back, to take out or change the battery. If it had its own folding fingers it would be much better. Another aspect that can be improved is the way you slide the camera inside it which scratches the borders after some time. What is great about it is the sound with both mics with the hero 12 black and that you can attach the light mod and the external display and HDMI. I have not tried an external mic. The only way to overcome the difficulty to change the battery is to use it with the Volta or another external power bank.

[0.185 lb] This sleeve and lanyard are the perfect way to carry your GoPro as if it were a "point and shoot" type camera. Its hanging around your neck or attached to your wrist and is protected from bumps and bounces by the well fitted silicon sleeve. The lanyard itself feels like a paracord but is sufficiently strong that you won't have to worry about it breaking and your camera crashing to the pavement. But it is also equipped with a breakaway connector. So, if you should become entangled in anything or if an unsavory individual should snatch your camera, you will be unlikely to suffer injury. The lanyard also has a slider which allows you to carry it on your wrist and tighten it. This is a very good accessory.

[Silicone] I’ve absolutely loved using this product. I still use it on a day-to-day basis. I’ve done multiple things with it as far as using it with a Volta doing a race start with my motorbike and the media mode has stood up to what it’s meant to be built. tough it was in caked mud and everything just dusted right off and I’m still able to use it which is amazing, of the best products I’ve probably gotten
