Some have found that having the camera on for this long consistently shooting, especially in sunny and hot conditions, as well as going a significant amount of continuous shooting at 20fps can lead to overheating. However, the firmware does help a lot to rectify this issue.

[0.65 lb] Huge game changer for doing Livestream without worrying about batteries. I would have liked to have a diagram on how to install it because there is a small hidden door on the camera I never realized was there. The wire has to clip in the battery and goes through the door opening. I hope anyone who is trying to figure this out finds this review. I googled, looked on Canon's site, and had to dig deep for the answer. 5

[0.65 lb] It works like a charm! I use it to record videos continuously on the Canon EOS R beyond the power limit. I've also used third party from another vendor while this was on backorder and the build quality is beyond comparison. This is on my camera full time now. 5

[0.65 lb] Using with a Canon EOS 90D. Had a long video shoot and didn't want to mess with batteries. Tip, need to route the power cable out the side of the battery compartment (There's a rubber plug you have to move out of the way) so the battery door closes, or the camera won't power up. Was in a hurry so I missed that detail in the manual, but figured it out at the last second. Now I know. :-) 5
