The FJ80-SE Battery Charger & Cord (as well as the FJ80-SE AC Adapter) are included by Westcott as standard accessories with the purchase of the Westcott FJ80-SE M Universal 80Ws Speedlight (2024). You only need to purchase the unit separately if you wish to own another set as a spare (additional) backup.

A: No, the Westcott FJ80 Magnetic Diffusion Dome does not fit on the Yongnuo YN650EX-RF Flash.

[0.505 lb] So far I haven't found the end of life for my fully charged FJ80 battery on a shoot, but since you can't use AA or AAA batteries with the FJ80 you really should get one of these for insurance purposes. Especially if you're a pro. 5

[12.6 VDC] I have used about every on-camera flash modifier there is, this one is the best so far. The dome attaches very securely. I mainly use the dome with my flash FJ II in a vertical/bounce position and I am very satisfied with the results. Strongly recommended. 5

[12.6 VDC] I typically can get around 1000 plus cycles with about 1/4 power with some energy left over. Make sure you have more than one for back up especially if you're replacing a flash that runs on AA's. 5

[0 to 2 Hours] I'm a big fan of the Westcott lighting system - great products with reproducible results every time. Since my FJ80 is often used as a on-camera strobe I needed the confidence that I could get through a shoot without losing the power of the unit. The extra battery allows that. They take a long time (like 2 hours or so) to charge, so the spare is vital. I also shoot with it off-camera using the remote (along with my set of FJ400 strobes). It's certainly more convenient and cost effective than a bunch of AA batteries! 5

[0.505 lb] It seems to help diffuse the strobe flash a bit better inside a softbox. Not sure, but keep in mind it does reduce the output by about 1 stop or so. 5

[0.505 lb] I'm not going to bash the item because it works perfect. The thing is the diffusion dome for the FJ80 and the FJ200 are the exact same item yet they are priced differently. I bought both not realizing this and was charged almost 40% more for the FJ80 diffusion dome than I was for the fj200 one and they were a part of the same order. I'm a college photography student and money is tight so that just isn't cool. Had I known this I would have purchased two of the fj200 diffusion domes at the cheaper price and used the 2nd one for the fj80 5

[0 to 2 Hours] Doing a lot of children's images on the go I like how this helps with making my FJ80 a better lighting machine. I don't have the direct flash that makes the kids jump or complain about the light in their eyes. An excellent addition to my flash. 5
