Mechanical keyboards utilize a different type of key switch technology for a more durable and unique typing experience. The Logitech Brown switch offers a tactile feedback bump without the "click" noise, and is designed for accuracy and fast reset.

Type with ease, even after dark. Light the entire keyboard to see every key, or choose between five lighting patterns. Set the mood with breathing or serpent patterns. Light up each key you hit with reactive lighting, or choose random mode for a twinkling effect. Use FN+F12 to switch between illumination patterns and FN+F1/F2 to decrease or increase the brightness.

A curved profile, slim front, and angled keys work together to create a natural typing position for longer, more comfortable work. Choose your preferred position with additional tilt legs that let you switch between 4 and 8° angles.

Precision-built for typing, this keyboard is designed to provide the mechanics of a gaming keyboard and a sleek, modern look with floating keys and an aluminum top case.

The solid, anodized aluminum top ensures durability, while keys feature switches tested up to 50 million clicks and molded characters that won't fade or wear off.

Despite its full keyboard design and number pad, the K845 is designed to provide a small footprint without skimping on productivity. You can even use FN keys to get easy access to 12 media and shortcut keys (F1-F12).

[Windows] It is loud, but I love the lighting and the weight: it is hefty. Nice upgrade from the $12 keyboard I have purchased several times before.

[Windows] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lights are the perfect brightness. Keys are smooth and feel very nice. Feels heavy, like good quality materials were used. Loving this keyboard with the red mechanical keys.

[Mechanical] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Logitec 845 is a great example of a modern mechanical keyboard. It has the clickity clack one would appreciate plus several queues to the previous generations of keyboards. An added bonus is the illumination patterns to let all who use it know that this Logitec is up to date. I have it plugged into an HP monitor hub with a usb-c hot port so anyone can plug in their laptop and instantly begin using the keyboard. The keyboard works moderately well with macOS (use the windows key as cmd) and is smooth with any Windows and Chrome machine. Build quality is solid as well. Value exceeds price. Great product.

[Windows] This keyboard has a nice feel (brown switch version, less noisy) on actuating the keys and back. I wasn't sure how fluid the experience would be but it's a good balance of feel and accuracy. I'm able to type nearly as fast out of the box as a much more expensive keyboard.

[Yes, White] I bought the Logitech K845 to replace an old keyboard that came with my desktop. It costs much more than a non-mechanical keyboard, but what a difference. The keys are nicely spaced, with each key slightly concave to give a good feel while you're typing. The LED back lighting has only one color - white, which I prefer. All in all, this keyboard is great for everyday business use.

[Mechanical] I chose the K845 mechanical with brown switches because I wanted an illuminated mechanical keyboard that wasn't overly loud and clicky. The switches are relatively quiet but produce a satisfying click, one that I desired over a mushy key. The illuminated keys are excellent as I prefer a lower light environment to work in. The keys are set up high off the board itself allowing anything that may fall onto the keyboard to simply slide off and not get lodged. The K845 is a wired system which I bought specifically. I don't wish to spend additional money just to have to replace batteries or worry about charging a keyboard. The wired connection works for me and I don't need anything else. For the price, I don't think there is a better mechanical keyboard.

[Mechanical] I went from a membrane keyboard to the mechanical keyboard; a bit of a transition to adjust to the key noise and height. HOWVER, the ease of typing and the 'feel' as you type is great. Very responsive keyboard and I love the backlit keys.

[Mechanical] Got this keyboard to work with a Dell XPS laptop for both working while docked and for travel. It's well made and the keys have excellent response and travel for touch typing. The illumination of the keys is easy to control right from the keyboard. No drivers to install. The only odd item is choice of font for the keys. It's not a deal breaker but odd. Also the print screen key is labeled PS, scroll lock SL, etc. Why they changed labeling conventions from other keyboards is mystifying. But, that being said, great keyboard.

[Windows] The style and key lighting effects make this a great keyboard, especially for those that like a lot of pizazz and panache. Well worth the extra few bucks.
