Monitor an outdoor area with the Hikvision DS-2CE17H0T-IT3F 5MP Outdoor Bullet Camera Night Visionfrom Hikvision. This camera uses a 5MP progressive scan CMOS sensor to transmit 2560 x 1944 resolution video at 20 fps. IR LEDs provide up to 131' of night vision. The camera's 2.8mm fixed lens delivers an 85° horizontal field of view. HD-TVI, HD-CVI, AHD, and CVBS signal outputs are supported. A UTC (Up-the-Coax) connection enables OSD control of the camera's settings.

This bullet camera is housed in an IP67-rated enclosure that is suitable for outdoor use.

[Metal, Plastic] The first thing that sold me on this cam, and left the others behind, is its temperature rating. From -40F to 140deg. In other words, in the blazing summer sun on it or the coldest nights, it will work. Which is what I needed. The built in IR lighting and seeing to 100ft was also impressive and above average. I primarily needed to see in complete darkness, or dim light. This does both well. It has all metal casing - i.e. rugged. During the day mine faces south, and to my surprise the sun didnt wreck the image. Two down sides. If you get an older used one, they only work with the IE browser, There is no firmware upgrade (yet) to work with Google Chrome or MS Edge. A new one however will work with all of them, but you have to initially set it up with IE, and use that to get the latest web components app. Then the other browsers work too. The second surprise to me, was that there was very little clarity difference imo between the 2mp and 4mp version. Maybe I needed to go to the 8mp version. But both the 2 & 4 are adequate, so no need for me to try the 8mp version. Also a nice selection of field of view options from very wide to quite focused, so you can usually find one that s suitable for your situation. 5

[1x Barrel Input] After several weeks of research for an ultra wide camera that wouldn't break the bank, I requested a quote and special ordered this one from B&H. Took a bit long to receive, 22 days from order day to DC, as it comes directly from HikVision California, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. I'm using this camera with Blue Iris, so I won't speak about the built in motion detection, masking capabilities and other characteristics of that nature. I rely on Blue Iris for those. Several features that were must haves. Single lens with 180° horizontal field of view, it has built in lens distortion correction, which can be manually disabled. There's a bit of distortion towards the edges of the image, but this is expected. RTSP capable, outdoor, PoE, WDR, and IR. Overall 5 stars, if you're looking for an 180° outdoor cam, definitely take a look at this one. 5

[Metal, Plastic] This camera is solid so far. It's only been up for a few weeks. Image is crisp and clean. The camera is connected to a Hikvision TurboHD DVR using RG-59 coax. I haven't done any scientific comparisons regarding resolution quality, but it's certainly excellent. To get this level of resolution over RG-59 coax is amazing. IR clarity is very good with no white wash effect. Installation was basically easy once I figured out how to fine tune the position of the turret (gently loosen the captive screw clip in order to fine tune the turret's position, then re-tighten the screw clip). The turret design worked for me in this situation. I desired something more aesthetically pleasing than a bullet camera, but easier to install than a traditional dome. The turret design is perfect if that's your goal. Recommended! 5
