Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any adapter fits to EOS 5D MARK IV to use this lens? thank you!

A: Unfortunately there isn't an adapter for this lens to fit a 5d mark iv.

Q: 2. Purchased for my Canon M50, I get my subject in focus but the camera is unable to snap the photo. Am I missing something?

A: The camera must be in manual exposure mode as well as Custom Functions to enable the camera to shoot without a lens.

Q: 3. So if FL is 50 on an APSC lens, FL is smaller on a full frame. So what is 75mm referencing in the stats?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Sony E (Black) is physically 50mm in focal length which does not change. When used on an APS-C camera with a 1.5x crop factor, this is the equivalent of 75mm on full frame because of the crop factor.

Q: 4. Is this compatible either the gh4

A: Yes the TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Micro Four Thirds is compatible with the Panasonic GH4.

Q: 5. Will this lens work for Fujifilm XT-200?

A: Yes. The following lens is based on a X mount system.

Q: 6. I know I need to double the f-stop and focal length to get the actual lens's specs. So, is this basically a 100mm f/2.4 lens?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Micro Four Thirds would be 100mm f/1.8 equivalent to full frame.

Q: 7. Does this lens fit a Mark 5D iii specifically?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Canon EF-M (Black) does not work with a Canon 5D Mark III. This lens has an EF-M mount, while the 5D Mark III has an EF mount. They are not compatible.

Q: 8. Hey Will this work well with a Nikon z5? Thanks!

A: TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Nikon Z won't work very well with the Nikon Z5. It is an apsc lens. It will crop the full frame sensor of the Nikon Z5. Less than half of the available megapixels will be used.

Q: 9. Can you please confirm the filter thread size? Is it 52mm, as appears to be shown on one of the photos?

A: Yes. It is a 52mm thread.

Q: 10. The description says f1.2, the photos all show f2. Which is it?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm is a f/1.2. The photos are incorrect, thank you for letting us know.

[FUJIFILM X] I love the click on the aperture ring and the manual focus works well. All around it produces really great images for the price and it is really fun to use.

[52 mm (Front)] The saying goes that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But this lens is an exception. Right off the bat, this lens feels like a vintage Leica, Zeiss, or Nikkor lens from the 50s or 60s. It is all metal construction and feels very solid. Focusing is very smooth and the aperture ring has click stops. Optically, it is very sharp even wide open. There is perhaps a very slight softening at the maximum aperture of f1.2 but this is true of virtually any fast lens, even very expensive ones. Color rendition is very good. This lens would be a bargain at three or four hundred dollars but at this price it is a steal.

[FUJIFILM X] Like Roger Ebert used to say, read the review not the stars. This lens has to get 5 for its build quality and price. I wanted something for my A7c that was compact and fun – and could also be used for stylized video on my A7s III. I wanted the soft corners and vignetting wide open and am happy with it. The lens is a bit heavier than I expected though. It's heavier than a few Samyang primes I have and as heavy as vintage primes that are more than twice as big (Zeiss Jena/Super-Takumar). It's not heavy in absolute terms, just for its size.

[1.07 lb] I absolutely love this lens. It can capture sharp images, has nice bokeh and it's very easy and comfortable to handle. The only downside is that it's a little heavy but at least feels very sturdy and well made.
Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a manual focus prime lens on a budget.

[32°] This is my first manual lens. I wanted to get more creative and this lens was highly recommended by a friend. I have only used it on two outings. I had to get used to adjusting the focus myself but once I got the focus correct, the image quality is very nice. I will use this lens primarily for landscape photography.

[APS-C] I was honestly a bit nervous buying this lens but for only $100 I figured it wouldn't be much of a loss if I didn't like it. Seeing the cheap packaging didn't make me feel too much better about the purchase but once I opened the box, I wound up being very surprised by how great this lens looked (minus the tacky logo) and felt in my hand. This solid metal lens definitely feels very premium with a nice distinct click on the aperture ring, a very smooth focus ring, and in my case a nice snug fit onto my Fujifilm X-T4. Overall the lens is very sharp aside from being wide open and the vignetting disappears by f4. There is also quite a bit of chromatic aberration in high contrast areas but that and the vignetting are so easy to fix in Lightroom so I don't consider it an issue. The lens definitely has its quirks but it was nothing that made me feel like this lens was a bad deal and in some cases, I actually like the imperfections when paired with my Fujifilm. If you're looking for a lens to use for commercial work, I would wonder why you were considering this lens in the first place but for more artistic applications this lens is a great option that punches well above its weight even for professional applications where absolute perfect image quality and auto focus are not a necessity. I'm now very interested in trying the other lenses that TTArtisan has to offer. I just wish they would change their logo!

[APS-C] Great lens. This is my second TTArtisan lens and I love them both. Everything I've read and have learned from courses I've taken has said to get off the auto mode. TTArtisan has made it easy for me to transition to manual mode. This is my second lens the 40mm f/2.8 being the first. I really like both of them and plan on adding to my TTArtisan arsenal. Thank You.

[Manual Focus] Relatively sharp wide open at F1.2, with beautiful bokeh. A manual focus lens that is a joy to use. Old school manual focus - easily done thanks to the focus aids in my Fuji X-S10. This lens brings back the fun in photography!

[10] SMH, After buying into the TTARTISAN lens. 23, 50, 35 mm., all costing less than $100. I purchased a fugifilm Xc35mm f/2 for $199. And I can’t for the love of me now justifying paying the $199. Unless you’re a pro. Making money. Manual focus, aperture all very easy. And the lens are all metal. So it’s built like a tank. I’m spoiled!
