The lightest model in the LH Series, the Audio-Technica AT-LH11H Universal Turntable Headshelluniversal turntable headshell weighs just 0.4 ounces (11 grams) thanks to its lightweight aluminum construction. It features a 1/2" mount and nonthreaded holes, making it an ideal companion for cartridges with threaded mounting holes, such as the AT-OC9X, AT-ART9X, and VM95 Series.

[0.4 oz / 11 g] This is the stock headshell as found on the Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB Direct-Drive Professional Turntable, which I recently purchased. Since I had a few other cartridges with good styli I wanted to try for comparison, this purchase fit the bill. I can now switch out the current cartridge without having to labor with mounting; sort of a plug-and-play proposition. Works perfect, and a good price to boot. 5

[0.5" / 1.3 cm] I have a large selection of cartridges for microgroove and 78rpm disks so being able to easily swap them is a big benefit. Once installed, the possibility for damaging the cartridge is greatly reduced and cleaning is much simpler. The only cartridge make that presents problems are those by Shure. They require extra-long screws and special nuts that are hard to source (try McMaster-Carr Corp.) and therefore expensive. Otherwise, I have no complaints about quality or usefulness. 5

[0.4 oz / 11 g] I purchased this to set up an extra cartridge for a vintage turntable I recently purchased. I may go many years and never need this, but believe a back-up is always a good idea. This hardshell was easy to install and after doing so have some comfort knowing I have an excellent spare in case my primary cartridge is broken so the records can still spin with little interruption! 5

[0.4 oz / 11 g] I bought this as a second headshell for a Shure M78S cartridge to play my old shellac records on an Audio Technica 120 LP turntable. It is identical to the headshell that came with the turntable. Screws are included and installation was straightforward. Works as expected and makes switching between regular records and 78s very easy. I just need to switch the headshell and adjust the tracking force. 5

[0.5" / 1.3 cm] The Audio Technica VM95ML is a fantastic sounding cartridge that easily outperforms anything in it's price range, and even many pricier carts. After hearing what this thing can do, I'm sold on the micro-linear stylus profile. The clarity and sweetness of the high end is incredible, and the bottom end is well defined with just the right amount of energy. But perhaps most impressive is the fact that this cart practically does away with sibilant distortion and dreaded inner-groove distortion. On a properly set-up turntable, this cartridge will absolutely do away with those two problems. If you're looking at any other cartridges around this price range, stop looking and get yourself one of these. It really is that good. 5
