The Film Devices Hirose to DC 2.1x5.5mm Power Cable 19.8"from Film Devices Hirose to DC 2.1x5.5mm Power Cable 19.8"is designed to provide power to location-sound devices from Lectrosonics, Zaxcom, Audio LTD, and Wisycom. It's suitable for power distribution during big location-sound shoots. This cable measures 19.8" in length. At one end you'll find a straight Hirose connection and at the other a straight barrel-style 2.1 x 5.5mm plug.

A: We are not aware of this cable being able to power the FS5 Mark II with the Ronin 2. The Ronin 2 does however have a D-Tap port, so instead you could look at using the IndiPRO Tools D-Tap to DC Regulated Power Cable for Sony FS5, FS7, and FS7 II, B&H # INPFS716. A: The Hirose DC Input has a voltage range from 10-20v. So do not power from mains IEC it will fry the unit.

Q: 10. Does this hirose DC input sled work with the Sound Devices MixPre 10T as far as room for cable is concerned (i.e. without bending it too much)?

A: Unlike the MixPre 3 and 6, the MixPre 10T sports a Hirose 4-Pin DC input connector, so this accessory is not needed for the 10T.

[19.8" / 50.0 cm] It is small and compact. I picked up a cable that is D-Tap to HIrose. I reached out to the Sound Devices about the wiring of this to make sure I could check if cables would work. Pins 1 and 2 are wired together and are positive, pins 3 and 4 are wired together and are the negative. This way you can check with cable manufactures to make sure it is wired correctly for your unit. 5

[19.8" / 50.0 cm] I use this to power my Fujinon ENG lens (HA17x7.8) from a v-lock battery distributor (Tilta) attached to my Blackmagic pocket camera. It works great and is great value for money as it's a lot cheaper than the genuine Fujinon cable. 5

[19.8" / 50.0 cm] I use this with a MixPre-3 and a hirose-to-d-tap cable. Works as expected. Its awesome to be able to power the MixPre off camera battery. Would buy again. Only suggestion I have is that if you do use this to power your MixPre, and if you feed a signal back into your camera (i.e. not just record to the MixPre, but also send a scratch track signal from the MixPre to the camera), then you will want to get a ground loop isolator to put in your signal chain. Otherwise the in-camera scratch track will have interference noise. (The internal MixPre recording remains pristine.) 5
