Constructed of lightweight yet strong carbon fiber, this Tilta 3-Stage 4x5.65" Carbon Fiber Matte Box 80mmfrom Tilta 3-Stage 4x5.65" Carbon Fiber Matte Box 80mmis designed to fit lenses with an 80mm front diameter. This versatile matte box can also be mounted using the included 15mm LWS rod bracket or a separately available back of a different size.

This three-stage matte box comes with three 4 x 5.65" filter trays; all three stages are fixed and do not rotate. The included top flag and five-piece hard matte set help effectively block possible sources of flare and ghosts.

A: The MB-T12 has a 114mm clamp is installed and it includes 90mm and 85mm adapters.

A: You can just add an 80-82mm step up ring.

A: No, Tilta does offer a 4 x 4 filter tray option for the Tilta 3-Stage 4 x 5.65" Carbon Fiber Clip-On Matte Box.

Q: 6. Can one filter tray take two 2mm Formatt Hitech Firecrest Ultra Cine Superslim 4x5.65 IRND filters stacked together?

A: The Tilta 3-Stage 4 x 5.65" Carbon Fiber Clip-On Matte Box has three 4 x 5.65" Filter Trays. We can not advise stacking filters in a single tray.

Q: 7. will this work with Xeen 117mm front diameter?

A: The Rokinon Xeen lenses have a 114mm front diameter. They will work with this matte box

Q: 8. Do you just sell replacement parts? Say for instance I need just the 80mm adapter ring/backing.

Q: 9. Is it possible to get with 80mm instead of 85mm?

A: The kit does come with an 80mm back. The description on the B&H website is incorrect -- the matte box comes with 80mm, 95mm, 114mm, 134mm backings.

Q: 10. How does this matte box differ from the Tilta MB-T12 kit? Can I buy different backings for this model - 110, 95, etc?

A: The following model includes a single sized backing while the full kit includes multiple backings.

[3.4 lb] This is a great piece of equipment. Made with quality and has all the bells and whistles. I've used both RED version and this one and RED just has a name stamped on it. 5

[3.4 lb] This is a great accessory and works perfectly. I have 3 lenses with an 80mm diameter. Rather than change it out for each lens, which can be a pain, I just spent $38 and bought two extra ; ) Does what it says it does. 5

[3.4 lb] The Shape Matte 44 matte box is a great asset to my camera package. It is well built; very sturdy and tight. I am using it with a Sony FS7 and its adjustability allows it to fit perfectly. The swivel action easily allows for lens access and the filter holders hold firm. My only complaint is that the French flags fit a little loosely but otherwise I am very happy with my Matt44! 5

[3.4 lb] The spec indicates a lens diameter limit of 100 mm and another reviewer said the rail mount is non adjustable. I was hesitant to purchase as I have several 105mm filters and need vertical adjustment of the rail mount. Very happy to report that the opening accommodates my Sigma 105 mm 1.4 art lens and corresponding 105mm circular filters AND - the rail mount slides vertically (up/down) several centimeters to accommodate my rail system. 5
