Designed for mid- to long-range use with a broad zoom magnification range and competent low-light performance, the Hawke Sport Optics 4-12x40 Vantage Riflescopeboasts a 40mm objective lens that draws in generous amounts of light versus smaller objectives while still maintaining a relatively low profile. Covered finger-adjustable turrets help guard against accidental adjustments while a fast-focus collar and knurled rheostat knob allow you to quickly adapt to rapidly changing situations. Complementing the performance of the scope is a lightweight and durable anodized aluminum housing with a 1" one-piece maintube that is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof.

Q: 4. One of the reviewers, Shawn, stated, "Had to order the center column later as I could not rotate my camera to vertical in my BH 55 because it would hit the sides of the tripod." He doesn't say what camera he's using. Has anyone using a Nikon D810 in conjunction with the Robus RC-5570 had this problem?

A: The easiest solution would be to get a dedicated L-Bracket for your D810 and you shouldn't have any issues.

Q: 5. what ball head would you or anyone recommend to go with this ?

A: The Benro B3 Triple Action Ball Head, B&H # BEB3 is a suitable ball head for this tripod.

Q: 6. Will I be able to use this head if i connect the Canon RC-V100 Remote Controller to a C300 Mk II? in other words is there any other option to connect this head to the camera?

A: The C300 Mark II only has a single LANC input. You should be able to have the C300 Mark II on the Vantage and also be connected to the RC-V100. However you will only be able to control the camera itself through one controller.

A: This tripod has a Limited 10-Year Warranty regarding issues arising from manufacturing defects.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the Gitzo model GT3530 LS Series 3 Tripod? Is there a way to secure it to the tripod so it does not fall out when moving an attached camera and lens?

A: The Robus replacement 75mm bowl for the Vantage 3/5 tripods will not work with the Gitzo GT3530LS. When using it with the appropriate tripod, the bowl is mounted securely to the tripod's apex/spider. However, it's typically not recommended (for precautionary safety measures) that heavier duty systems are left on the tripod when being transported.

A: Yes, B&H # PRTRBU75 should work well with this tripod when using the 75mm bowl adapter.

[1"] If you are in the market for a small binocular with top-of-the-line performance this, is it. I have several old binoculars a Meade 7 x 50 porro, a Tasco 10 x 25 and Bushnell 10 X 25 and which like me were getting are old. A friend recently became interested in bird watching and I did the research. As I live in the Houston area and at the edges of both the Central and Mississippi migratory bird flyways in the U.S. and live on a large tract of land, I have the opportunity to see a lot of different birds. As my old Meade was becoming harder to focus, I looked at the current market of ED binoculars and saw the Celestron NatureDX 8 X 42 model. Like many reviews it is fantastic binocular. I also decided to replace my small truck binoculars with something better than the Tasco 10 X 25 or the Bushnell and found the Hawk Vantage 8 X 32 model and I ordered it. I also gave some thought to the Hawke Endurance ED model and almost sent an email to B & H to change out my order but I didn’t. Upon arriving I did a comparison of the Celestron NatureDX against the Hawke Vantage. I cannot see the difference between the two. I can clearly see the difference between the Vantage the Tasco and the Bushnell. So, I drove out to the coast to look at the coastal shore birds. The Vantage is a very good binocular. It is lite, well built, easy to focus, very good light and for an eye glasses wearing person like me it has great eye relief. I don’t see how the Vantage Endurance could be much better. The Vantage is great binocular. 5

[4 to 12x] I put this scope on my Henry 22lr lever action scope and shoots perfectly. Has Green and Red Illumination for when you are shooting in low light conditions. highly recommend this for a 22lr rifle of any kind. Hawke makes some of the best scopes i have ever used, I won 9 Hawke scopes. Mark 5

[1"] Mounted this scope on my HW50S. Its the perfect size and weight. The AO and ocular focus rings are very stiff, which I prefer since its less likely to shift during shooting sessions. The optics are clear, and I love the Mil-Dot reticle. The scope was very easy to zero. My setup is to shoot 1 low at point blank, then knowing Im on paper to zero at 10 yards, and then fine tune zero at 20 yards. Already gone thru a tin of pellets terrorizing soup and soda cans, and the zero hasnt changed. All-in-all, Id say that this is a really nice scope for the money. 5
