Designed for long-range shooting, especially in low-light conditions, the Hawke Sport Optics 4-12x50 Vantage Riflescopeboasts a large objective to draw in generous amounts of light for use at dawn and dusk, or in heavily canopied areas. To further improve the scope's performance, all of its optical surfaces are fully multicoated to boost light transmission and improve color fidelity, contrast, and image brightness. A large objective also helps produce a wide exit pupil, even at the highest magnification, to ensure that when the eye dilates in low-light the entire field of view is easy to see without having to move your eye or head.

Its 30/30 Duplex reticle is a classic design which draws your eye to the target without obscuring it. The reticle offers 30" spacing from post to post at 100 yards when on 4x magnification. Covered turrets help guard against accidental adjustments while a fast-focus collar and knurled rheostat allow you to quickly adapt to rapidly changing situations. Complementing the performance of the scope is a lightweight and durable anodized aluminum housing with a 1" one-piece maintube that is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the minimum focus distance?

A: The Nikon 12x50 Aculon A211 Binoculars have a minimum focus distance of 26.2 feet.

Q: 2. Do these have the stabilization feature?

A: The Pentax 12x50 S-Series SP WP Binoculars do not have a stabilization feature.

Q: 3. How far out do the bullet drop system work? On the new model 10x42 the inclinometer system only works out to 600 yards.

A: The Ultravid model does not have a built-in rangefinder. Only the Geovid model has that. A Geovid HD-R can do calculations for a range of 10-600 yards and provide an adjusted horizontal distance measurement (what we call EHr). Thats usually a good range for bow hunters. The Geovid HD-B can do calculations for a range of 100-875 yards (or out to 1000 yds. by using the included micro SD card to load a custom calculation through our website), and can provide the above mentioned EHr value, or a Hold value, or the number of click adjustments to make on a riflescope. This model is better for the rifle hunter.

Q: 4. Will I be able to use this head if i connect the Canon RC-V100 Remote Controller to a C300 Mk II? in other words is there any other option to connect this head to the camera?

A: The C300 Mark II only has a single LANC input. You should be able to have the C300 Mark II on the Vantage and also be connected to the RC-V100. However you will only be able to control the camera itself through one controller.

Q: 5. Does this come with lens caps?

A: No caps

[4 to 12x] This 4 power Hawke is a real “sleeper!”
I just put a 22 Magnum Barrel on my CZ455, since I don’t have anything in that caliber
I didn’t want to put much money in a scope as this was going to be a “beater” that I carried in the Swamp while on a boat.
A 4x with AO is unusual in that you usually get that on a variable power. I didn’t want too many functions, just a simple scope, but I would probably be shooting squirrels, rabbits, alligators, snakes, turtles: at ranges of 10 feet to a maximum of 100 yards.
And an Adjustable Onjective on a fixed power would be perfect.
I found it a balanced look, attached to the 3/8 dovetail on the CZ455. Not too big.
I was amazed at the clarity and light gathering of this $70 scope. And the AO was the icing on the cake. Easy to rotate and so I left it set at about 27 yards(most of my shots)
It was perfect! I was getting 3/4 inch groups with the CCI Gamepoint 40 grain. Leaning against a tree for a rest. WOW!
So I just ordered another one for my newly arrived Ruger RAR 22 Magnum in the black synthetic stock —a real “plain Jane” better suited for “in the boat” duty. (My CZ was bumped up to be my squirrel gun!
One of my Best Buys!!
Try one and you’ll see!
Mitch

[4 to 12x] Clear sight. (.22 subsonic) on my 'sniper' .22. The drop reticle is spot on (tested to 150 yards. I have to remember that I must be in maximum focus for the reticle to be accurate but that is a mental training thing on my part. I can't believe that I can hit tiny targets at that distance with a bullet that drops like a lead balloon. It made me buy one for the high velocity .22LR (for a Tactical Solutions) and I'll be buying another for my .17HMR Volquartsen. Crazy-pleased. I love the side focus for range finding and helps my poor eyesight get focus. Sold on these things!

[1"] If you are in the market for a small binocular with top-of-the-line performance this, is it.

I have several old binoculars a Meade 7 x 50 porro, a Tasco 10 x 25 and Bushnell 10 X 25 and which like me were getting are old.

A friend recently became interested in bird watching and I did the research.  As I live in the Houston area and at the edges of both the Central and Mississippi migratory bird flyways in the U.S. and live on a large tract of land, I have the opportunity to see a lot of different birds.

As my old Meade was becoming harder to focus, I looked at the current market of ED binoculars and saw the Celestron NatureDX 8 X 42 model.  Like many reviews it is fantastic binocular.  I also decided to replace my small truck binoculars with something better than the Tasco 10 X 25 or the Bushnell and found the Hawk Vantage 8 X 32 model and I ordered it.  I also gave some thought to the Hawke Endurance ED model and almost sent an email to B & H to change out my order but I didn’t.

Upon arriving I did a comparison of the Celestron NatureDX against the Hawke Vantage.  I cannot see the difference between the two.  I can clearly see the difference between the Vantage the Tasco and the Bushnell. So, I drove out to the coast to look at the coastal shore birds.  The Vantage is a very good binocular.  It is lite, well built, easy to focus, very good light and for an eye glasses wearing person like me it has great eye relief.  I don’t see how the Vantage Endurance could be much better.

The Vantage is great binocular.

[4 to 12x] Holds my nose heavy Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope steady and secure on a table top or bench top. You can tighten small traverse and angle elevation tension screws to eliminate excess play in the mount. Black crackle finish on cast legs. Best lowest cost tripod I've found.

[Aluminum] My original scope was bundled with my rifle. It would not hold zero from day to day. This Hawke has been zeroed in once and it hasn't changed one iota! It makes shooting much more fun when you can actually hit what you're aiming at. I went with the 32 mm objective lens because I could use my existing rings. It fit perfectly and took all of 10 minutes to mount to the rifle. You can't go wrong with this IF it fits your application.
