Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will it be able to support the Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition Camera for drone like shots?

A: You can use the E-Image 5-Section Telescoping Carbon Fiber Microphone Boompole (11.5') with the Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition Camera, however this will not support the camera's invisible selfie stick feature like the Insta360 Extended Selfie Stick for X3, ONE RS/X2/R/X, and ONE (14 to 118"), B&H # INDINEESSB.

Q: 2. How do I add an internal cable?

A: The Ambient Recording QP550 QuickPole Series 5 Carbon Fiber 5-Section Boompole is designed to be used with an external cable. It cannot be used with an internal cable. You would need a different boompole that would already come fitted with the internal cable. For example, the K-Tek KE-144CCR Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole (B&H # KTKE144CCR) comes with an internal XLR cable.

Q: 3. Can I add an internal cable myself?

A: The Auray BP-28CN Carbon Fiber Boompole (7.7'), BH # AUBP28CN, is not designed to accept an internal cable.

Q: 4. What is the maximum weight it can support at full horizontal extension?

A: Film Devces does not provide a weight capacity on their travel boompole kit as this will securely hold the weight of just about any microphone boom pole that you can fit onto it.

Q: 5. max payload for 11'5?

A: The E-Image BC12 does not have a spec for maximum weight capacity, but it has enough tensile strength to support most shotgun microphones and wind protection systems.

Q: 6. One answer says you can run a cable through the pole. The other says you can’t? Which is correct, and if you can’t what’s the point of the cable raceway?

A: I understand the confusion regarding the raceway. But I don't see any exit for the cable at the top for a cable. Nor is there a opening for an XLR connector at the base.

Q: 7. Do you have the version with the lateral output?

A: The BC-12P does have an integrated XLR cable that exists laterally (from the side).

Q: 8. Will the Shure 25DM mic holder fit on the end of the pole?

A: Yes, the Shure A25DM Mic Stand Adapter is compatible for use with the OZEN SoDi Carbon Fiber Mic Boompole.

Q: 9. Does the Acebil MP-285C monopod have a rubber foot or steel spike?

A: The Acebil MP-285C has a rubber foot.

Q: 10. What is the diameter of the pole?

A: I am sorry but E-Image does not provide that spec. Each of the four sections will be a different diameter and the mounting threads can be either 1/4-20 or 3/8"

[Carbon Fiber] This is fantastic. I bought it just before a major production at an event where we'd be filming a bunch of individuals and with covid we wanted to mic them in a non-contact way. Very light but good build quality. Of course I'd like the XLR stuff on the inside but the weight saving and packability is wonderful and it will be in my run bag from now on.

[Carbon Fiber] I use my Zeiss Pro tripod with my Zeiss Conquest Gavia 85 30x - 60x scope. It is much lighter than I had imagined and the legs extend so easily. The controls are very easy to the touch on both the vertical and horizontal knobs. I recommend this product.

Having said that I have never owned or operated another tripod so I have no basis for comparison. But I am happy with my purchase.

[Carbon Fiber] Very light, a breeze to travel with, and easy to set up. The builtin spirit level was a nice surprise. It look a bit of time to figure out the right amount of tightening for the rotation and elevation lock bolts to still allow for scope movement while browsing the viewing area.

[Carbon Fiber] Worked with this guy on a TV series and a feature film now. Nice and light and the tightening locks always worked

[1.195 lb] If you're using a wireless receiver solution, look no further. This little guy fits in a carry-on no problem, is lightweight and durable. The holder is actually nicer than it appears in photos. And if you don't have to fumble with a wrap-around XLR cable, you're in great shape for not too much money. Boom.

[1.195 lb] I'm impressed with this boompole. Let's start with the best part, this thing is super light. Carbon fiber is the best. Very strong and weighs almost nothing. That is fantastic. If you've operated a boompole you know how important the weight can be, so having it as light as possible is needed. Even the head/top is lightweight. A heavy boom pole can be brutal to work with so having one this light is great. It's nearly 8-foot reach is very useful. I feel like this will work in any situation. It's very easy to loosen the sections and it is very easy to adjust the length. Really smooth. It also locks down well. It can be very annoying when a boom pole does not lockdown well and the sections twist and loosen. This does not do that, which is important. I did not feel that they would slip. The build quality is really good, especially at this price point. Feels well-made and nice in the hand. I find it pretty quiet when extending the sections also. This helps if you need to make any length adjustment during a take. Again, I'm very happy with this boom pole, it's quality and the price are fantastic. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[1.195 lb] As a beginning birder, I needed a sturdy tripod for my new Kowa 884 spotting scope. Was advised to purchase the GT Pro tripod. After 2x trying the GT tripod in the field, I was convinced by the seasoned birders of the truth that an expensive scope requires an expensive tripod. I couldn't move the GT tripod to the downward position, and the upper piece of the center bar shook, The aluminum legs will freeze your hands in cold weather. All different with the Zeiss. Cushioned legs, smooth and steady movement up-down and horizontal. This tripod is worth it. Only minor issue is that it doesn't come with a bottom centerpiece hook to hang extras. But no big deal.

[Carbon Fiber] This seems to be the perfect length for me. I travel quite a bit so I need something that can shrink down to a size that fits in my Pelican Airs, while providing me a boom extension long enough to reach into the scene. Love it.
