Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could this case hold a Manfrotto 525MVB and 3 or 4 light stands?

A: I don't believe so - unless those light stands were very small. Even then it would be tight.

Q: 2. Is this cabin friendly size? How many camera and lenses will fit in?

A: This is just slightly larger than the average allowable carry-on dimensions from most airlines. This case's external dimensions listed in the Specifications are: 22.0 x 13.8 x 9.2 in (55.9 x 35.0 x 23.3 cm), while the average airline carrier's approved carry-on bag dimensions are: 22.0 x 14.0 x 9.0 in (56.0 x 35.0 x 22.0 cm), including handles and wheels. It would be up to the airline to allow it on-board or require it to be checked at the gate.

Q: 3. Do you know if this would fit the Manfrotto 536 Carbon Fiber Tripod with 509HD Video Head?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 4. Is this case acceptable for travelling internationally? Airline got 50lbs limit for check-in baggage.

A: It is accepted, but because it weighs 11 pounds, you only get 40 to fit in. I've found I can put a tripod, small light stands, slider and some other misc. stuff and keep it right under 50. A VERY solid case, nothing is going to get dinged when it's in this thing. Length is also fine for the airlines, though I've found sometime it's delivered to oversize luggage.

Q: 5. How much does this weigh? Specs say 7lbs, but that can't be right

A: Teh HPRC 2745 Wheeled Hard Case without Foam (Black/Blue) weighs 15.6Ibs.

Q: 6. Would a Mac Pro 2019 fit inside this case??

A: Yes it can.

Q: 7. Will this Case fit a Libec LX7 Tripod With Fluid Head and Floor Spreader?

A: Yes, the HPRC 6300TRIB will fit a Libec LX7 Tripod with Fluid Head and Floor Spreader.

Q: 8. Does this mean the total height of the handle from the floor is 48.36 inches? If so, this is a full 10 inches higher than the 38.5 inch high handles on the Nanuk 960 and Nanuk 955. Is this a correct understanding?

A: The HPRC 2745 Wheeled Hard Case not including the handle exterior is 32.36 x 17.79 x 11.57" / 82.19 x 45.19 x 29.39 cm The Interior is 30.3 x 15.8 x 9.7" / 77 x 40.1 x 24.6 cm 2.04" / 5.18 cm (Lid Depth) 7.68" / 19.51 cm (Base Depth) The Nanuk 960 case and the 955 are smaller cases.

Q: 9. Could you fit 2 tripods in this case measuring roughly 35" x 8" each?

A: Interior Dimensions 36.4 x 10.6 x 9.6" , if they meat this dimensions

Q: 10. How many Avenger 5034 wheeled stands plus boom extensions can this hold?

A: One Avenger 5034 stand would fit in the HPRC 6500 Wheeled Hard Resin Case with Tripod Holder Kit (Black).

[Gray] I wanted an indestructible wheeled camera case with just enough room for my most essential traveling gear so that I could take it onto planes and fit it into an overhead compartment without worrying that anything would get squished. The AMRE 2550 WF hard case with cubed-foam interior by Porta Brace more than fits the bill. In addition to the features already mentioned, it is waterproof and very maneuverable. It was even easy and fun to pull out cones of foam to snug in each piece of equipment, including camera body with lens, a couple of additional lens, and a few filters. I'm going on a trip to the Grand Tetons in August, and I've scheduled a river trip on a 3-person wooden boat. I will feel very confident with this case aboard.

[Empty] It was easy to fit 2 video cameras and audio gear into the case and cut out the foam. Now it is easy to pack up and get on the flights and find my gear instead of a back pack.

[Yes] Phaseone cases are really expensive. So I thought I would give this one a try to protect my camera and a couple of lenses. It worked like a dream. Being able to customized the foam to fit the gear was great. And, its not black so I can find it in a studio filled with black stuff. After I got it, I ordered another one for my Canon 5D III gear - only yellow. Pardon my iPhone photo.

[Empty] Love this brand of case, but this size (the biggest they list as carry on compatible) is just to small for any of my needs especially when you eat up all the needed space for the cubbed foam to do its job. I went with the 2600 and got trkpak dividers, the difference is huge in how much space you have. The 2600 would still fit in overheard (its still smaller then my actual travel luggage. Either way I'd get trekpak dividers for either they are sublime compared to your other options and cost the same as other padded divider options.

[Gray] This case holds our Camera, media, and batteries. Large enough to store a good amount of gear and small enough to travel light. I have had other cases from HPRC and they hold up great in everyday use. If I had to find an issue with the 2550 it would be that the plastic SEEMS to be flimsy on the top because of a small amount of flexibility. So far no issues have risen from this though.

[11.03 lb] I have yet to put this case through its paces but for the limited time i have used it it's been great. Its the perfect size and the second skin insert really does a great job. Pros: Solid Construction Large Wheels Multiple Handles Cons: Limited second skin configuration options, I would have like a couple more insert sizes

[Gray] Pelican 1510 can't fit 3 Elektron boxes like the HPRC 2550w can. It works. I checked the clearance without the foam in the lid and it is 8mm in the middle. HPRC 2550w is the only case that works for this purpose. No need to gamble trying to carry on an oversized case. The flight that makes you check it underneath might be the flight that loses it. Not worth it.

[11.03 lb] I've been using Pelican cases for 4 years from school but when I saw and tried HPRC 2550W, I decided to buy this one. What is better than Pelican cases?

1. The handle is way better than Pelican cases. HPRC improved their handles since the previous version was akward to use. Pelican cases have duability issue with their handles because it has to be bent to release it and lock it. It's a plastic part so it might gonna break or bent in future while you dont need to worry about it with HPRC and it is much easy to handle it.

2. Wheels are bigger. Newely designed wheels are much bigger and better unlike Pelican cases. Although it is not a modular part, you can still replace it easily.

3. It is much cheaper than Pelican cases. If you wanna get similar a case like HPRC 2550W, it would be Pelican 1535 Air. However, it is much expansive and it still have problems with wheels and handle. There arent any differences between Pelican and HPRC in duability.

There are few things that I dont like about this case.
1. The locking mechanism is quite poor. Pelican cases are much better with this part. So easy to open each locks.

2. The lock hole is made of plastic while Pelican is made of both plastic and metal.

3. I feel that Pelican dividers are more innovative and better.

Overall, Im very satisfied with HPRC 2550W case.

[Yes] This case is amazing. I now own 3 of these (2 blue 1 black), I am using them to store most of my photography equipment. Not as big as I originally thought it would be but it works.

[Latch] This hard case proved a great buy on a recen trip to Cartagena-Colombia, carrying valuable photo equipment (cameras and lenses) Although it wasn't so clear from the description, the included foam block kit was great because it was divided in two sets of different thicknesses, which allowed me to arrange the equipment in two tiers of small and mid-sized lenses, and two camera bodies. There was additional foam in the case cover and at the very bottom. Besides this, the foam comes pre-cut in half-inch little cubes all the way through except for the surrounding area, so it's just a matter of tracing the shape of a lens or body and twisting these little cubes with the hand to make the spot for each piece of equipment... So simple and effective! On the outside, the case was very sturdy and the handles are definitely very solid. One thing I expected to be better were the wheels, as they're definitely sturdy but weren't so silent after all, but this is just a minor issue anyway. The case has two locations to secure it with (not included) locks. I chose a TSA-approved lock at the airport, since there was nothing specially sturdy/solid-looking at the B&H Photo website (which would've been the logical place for truw one-stop shopping) I didn't test the water-resistance of this case, so I can't comment on that. This is a highly recommended photo equipment case, and the yellow color makes it easy to spot on the luggage conveyor when hurrying-up between flights.
