[Black] I bought this case to hold a small diaphragm condenser mic, and it fits perfectly. Plenty of protection and so affordable. I've already purchased the larger size and plan to get yet another of those.

[Zipper] My toy box is overflowing but I needed protection for a recently acquired 85mm 1.4 Nikkor lens that I can't afford to replace. A larger percentage of my photography occurs during hiking and a lens on camera and another in backpack has to be sufficient. One Beta Shell was ordered to accommodate four different lens sizes. The 'Shell' is bulky but there isn't an alternative form of lens container that offers the same worry free caliber of security and safety that it does. It doesn't eliminate all possibility of a disaster but for a few dollars extra it does reduce the odds.

[Zipper] I needed a hard case to with pockets to carry fiber modems and not get banged around while in the Pelican case. Would buy again in an instant!

[Handheld Only] Bought this case to fit the Rode NTG5 mic with foam windshield, pistol grip, mic clip, ws10 dead cat, pg2-r pro cable and zp1 pouch. It all fits perfectly and still small enough to fit in a pelican or backpack. Plus I cut the label off the mic box and put it in the little branding window so it looks like a Rode branded case. Perfect!

[Black] I bought this case to house a small midi-controller (Faderfox UC4), and it worked out perfect. This is a very well made semi-hard case. It also has a custom plate on the front to put a logo/name card in.

[Handheld Only] The CineBags and PortaBrace divider kits are extremely overpriced ($85 for an almost identical set of pads and velcro strips) and there's practically zero difference in quality/protection for your gear. The included scissors here weren't quite strong enough to cut through the dividers but I used stronger shears I already had and cut them to perfect fit for my Porta-Brace bags. The hook and loop strips secure firmly and the padding is soft and will protect everything while packed up.

[Black] Believe the hype, I'm sure these are as bombproof as they say. The only concern I have is with the foam used to center the lens in the case. I worry that with use it may fall apart. I've used this in some very dusty environments without any dust finding its way on my gear. The seal is great. If your lens is damaged it will because of an internal failure/issue and not because of anything external penetrating the case.

[Empty] While on a recent trip to Dallas we were informed by the airline that we would have to check our roller boards. We did not bring our camera gear on this trip but got to thinking about what we would have done if our gear had been in the roller boards. We have 2 OM-1s with Olympus 300mm lenses. We went home and bought the Shell-Case 330 from B&H. Problem solved! Now the case and cameras go in the carry-on and if we are required to check it, the Shell Case comes out and becomes a personal item that fits under the seat. Great purchase.
