Q: 1. Can you attach the Peak Design strap fastener to the L bracket? I use a Peak Design hand strap, so I need a point of contact on the bottom of the camera in addition to the usual strap attachment. Thanks!

A: Yes you can attach a Peak Design hand strap to a camera with the Sunwayfoto PCL-7DIIR L bracket. Look at the photo on the B&H product page... flat part that fasten to the bottom of the camera... on the right. See the opening? It's as clear as day! Not sure if it's by design or accident, but the Sunwayfoto engineers provide a strap opening right there on the right side of the L bracket. Hence, one end of the hand strap fastens to the normal camera strap anchor on top of the camera... the other end of the hand strap fastens to the bar opening of the L bracket. Eazy peezy. Enjoy! Q: 2. Anyone have any ideas for l bracket in this price range for a 5d mkii?

A: The least expensive L-bracket specifically for the 5D Mark II without a battery grip is the Kirk BL-5DII L-Bracket for Canon 5D MarkII B&H # KIBL5DM2.

Q: 3. Will the L bracket fit with battery grip on the 7d Mark II ?

A: Unfortunately no, it will not fit the 7D Mark II grip and currently no one makes an L bracket that will fit the grip.

A: It also has the lever, but the lever is offset from the joystick, so is slightly different from the camera in look and location, but has the same function.

A: If your ball heads are arca swiss compatible, then it will work.

A: Yes, the grip will feel and look the same as the rest of the camera body.

A: Yes, we have. We purchased the Acratech plate for this grip and it is rock solid. We did call Acratech 1-909-392-7522 before purchasing to be sure we had the correct plate. They were great on the phone and I received the correct plate so fast.... Fabulous! and super rock solid!

Q: 10. Will this L_bracket (Sunwayfoto PCL-7DIIR) properly fit on the 7D Mark II with the standard canon camera strap attached to the camera?

[Yes] Pleasantly surprised to have my L-Bracket delivered in a nice die-cut foam box with additional tools and accessories. Very presentable piece of equipment. [Yes] The L-bracket fits my Canon 7d Mark II perfectly. In fact I like the way it fits better than the Really Right Stuff L-brackets that I have purchased for the 10D, 30D, and 50D as it leaves just a little more room for the camera strap. Also, the bracket can be moved further from the left side of the body if needed for complex cables. The machining appears to be of the highest quality. 5

[Aluminum] Well made, not cheaply made. All edges are rounded and smooth. Great for landscape photos. I have one on each of my cameras. It does add some weight, no big deal. 5

[Aluminum] I heard about the L bracket at a recent photo workshop. I had just lost the release plate which attached my camera to the tri-pod's ballhead. It was a good opportunity to find out why I had to keep tightening the plate after realizing it was shifting and I was loosing shots. This is far better to move the camera from vertical to horizontal, etc, on the tri-pod. 5

[0.42 lb] This is the first bracket that I've purchased from Sunwayfoto. Very pleased to see that it is up to par with several other L brackets that I own that were made by other name brand companies. The bracket fits, the spaces and opening are where they belong and finish seems durable enough...time will tell with that. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. 5
