When you aren't using your Godox VD-Mic microphone, you can keep it safe and dry in this Porta Brace PB-GOVDMIC Protective Carrying Pouch.

The case features a zippered opening for quick access, and a Veltex-lined padded interior to protect against scratches and minor bumps when you are transporting your microphone or similarly sized device.

The exterior is lined with soft, 400-denier nylon pack cloth, which has a layer of DWR water-resistant coating. The case can be used on its own or as an insert for many of the larger Porta Brace camera cases.

A: My setup includes Bogen 3021 legs with a Manfrotto Proball 468RC head and a Real Right Stuff quick release plate. The whole setup weighs just a little over 5 lbs. The strap is wide and well cushioned, and I can carry my tripod quite comfortably for a long time (sometimes with a medium format camera attached).

[Yes] I shoot a lot of outdoor stuff. That requires hiking, walking, and sometimes climbing on a hill. This strap gives the option to move hands-free, with more stability and control, it makes my life easier. 5

[Zipper] By adjusting the lengths of the straps, I have no problem slinging a tripod diagonally across my back. This frees hands and arms to use trekking poles to hike to a destination. Clips make attaching and extracting the tripod straightforward. 5

[0.36 lb] So far, the Porta Brace has improved transport of a Canon 600mm lens & 1DX body over longer distances. I am using it as a shoulder strap, and the end loops are attached to the gimbal arm. For me, this setup feels reasonably balanced & performs well as an aid to carrying such heavy & awkward equipment. Attachment loops seem to be sturdy enough to support the involved weight. 5
