The Miller Solo-Q 100 Carbon Fiber Tripod 2-Stage Bowlis designed to provide a fast, light, and sturdy support platform for the single camera operator that needs to be able to move positions quickly. The legs feature a lightweight carbon fiber and magnesium design that achieves high torsional rigidity and rock-solid stability with a maximum payload of 66 lb. Boasting an extensive 9.5 to 64.2" height range, this two-stage, four-section tripod collapses down to a compact 27.6" for transport. The Solo-Q 100 features a 100mm bowl to fit standard 100mm heads.

The base of each leg features a spike to help on uneven terrain, and rubber feet can screw down to cover the spikes for use on smoother surfaces. Each joint locks using the quick twist-lock system, making setup and breakdown easy. Designed for videography on the run, the Solo-Q 100 is ultra-light and versatile, utilizing individual leg-angle locking to eliminate the need for a spreader, reducing overall system weight and complexity. Q: 1. My camera rig is 4.9kg atm, and it’ll be a touch heavier when I have transmitters etc. will this tripod be okay for my camera setup?

A: Yes it will be. This tripod has a 22 pound or 10kg load capacity. It will work well with your set up if it is only 4.9kg.

Q: 2. Can i take out the mid level spreader simply without any tool, is it easily removable? That would come handy if i want to go lower with the tripod

Q: 3. Hi! I plan to use this tripod with a Sachtler aktiv fluid head, but for that I need to make sure of the compatibility. There is a centered hole in the bowl where the head is mounted and I would like to know it's diameter. Could you please check it for me?

A: Sadly it doesnt

Q: 5. Does the new Manfrotto 2 in 1 spreader fit with these legs? Ikan does not have a telescopic spreader and the ground spreader is too much of a hassle.

A: It does not. The Manfrotto 2 in 1 Tripod Spreader, BH #MAMVASPR2N1, is only compatible with the Manfrotto 645 FTT and 635 FST series tripods.

Q: 6. Does this tripod need an export control?

A: Its folded/collapsed dimensions are 28" in length, with roughly a 8" diameter (including apex/spider). It might fit diagonally within a large check-in bag, but your results may vary based on luggage size, carrier restrictions, etc.

Q: 9. it says it has an 88LB capacity, but amazon has it rated for 9LBS?

A: Hello,My manager sat on the bowl, and he weighs probably about 120 lb. Amazon is quite wrong, or may be referencing the recommended payload of a kit, which bases max load off of the head. Recommended payload is 88 lb., but it can physically exceed that, though it won't be working optimally and runs the risk of a slip or collapse.

[3 Positions] Use mostly when doing 5D video. Great movement on the head, only thing is a little more weight would make it a little better, probably would be best in the 8-16lb range. 5

[Yes] Im a local filmer from Port Macquarie, Australia and let me say that the DS-10 Aluminum Tripod System is by far the best tripod iv ever experienced with its super smooth pan you cant even screw up on purpose. I give the tripod 100% but I think a simple dolly should be included half price if the tripod exceeds a certain amount maybe? Food for thought. But I Thank you for creating such a prime product!!! 5

[Twist Lock] Purchased these sticks in Feb 2022 along with the CX10 head. Great range in height. Very stiff at any setting. Love getting a 100mm set of sticks for less than 6 pounds. A little awkward raising the height with camera attached. I extend the bottom sections first almost all the way... then it is easier to do adjustments on the top section without bending down too much or holding the tripod low with risk of camera tip. If a large change is needed, it is easy to pop off the camera with the side load plate of the CX head, adjust and pop it back on. I considered the flow tech system for adjustability... but the 75mm Vinten or Sachtler were as much as the 100mm Miller. The 100 mm flow tech was almost double. I love not needing a spreader. Remarkably stable sticks... and there is just something about a pan with a 100mm head that can't be accomplished with a 75mm. 5

[Carbon Fiber] I use this tripod with my Canon 60D and camera accessories. The head can comfortably deal with a little weight over 10lbs, but not a ton more. Personally, I like the aluminum legs better than the carbon fiber. In a short time, the tripod has been in mud, rain, and it has worked great. Used the Scarlett on it a week ago and the weight was not an issue. Totally smooth pan and tilt. Great locks. Do yourself a favor and get more than one camera plate. This way you won't have to keep swapping it from one camera to another. 5

[Retractable] There are many reviews on this tripod, but bottom line: it is excellent! It's reasonably priced and can accommodate a pretty heavy rig. I'm impressed. I love the next to nothing weight as well! 5

[8.5 lb] I bought this a few years back to use with my Panasonic HVX200a. Works like a dream. I do a lot of short form documentary production, and this Miller is perfect. The carbon fiber construction indeed makes the unit very light. I carried it while backpacking around Western Europe for a month, and it was fantastic. Very quick to setup and breakdown. I also like how low to the ground I can get with the concentric leg angle locks. The bag is very high quality as well. All around it is a very rugid product, which is perfect for my documentary productions. Those Australians can sure make a tripod. At this price point, this Miller is your best choice. 5

[3 Positions] Great tripod. Light. Secure lock. Could not ask for better. Like it better than Sachlers since I hate the spreader. Used big Manfrotto's in the past. No comparison. Own a Gitzo as well, which is close to Miller but still like Miller. Will buy Miller again if I need another one. 5

[Carbon Fiber] This tripod system is excellent. I mainly shoot with a 5dmkII with rails, audio gear, follow focus, etc that totals to at least 20lbs and this tripod handles it all with ease. This is lightyears better than my previous Manfrotto tripods (which were also good...this is just much better). The head is solidly constructed and the fluid head is buttery. It extends as high as I will ever need (camera is well over my head, and I'm 6 foot), and the leg locking system is easy to use, even with a loaded tripod. Suprisingly solid for having no spreaders. 5
