[IPS-Type LCD] I bought this specifically because I wanted a 4x3 monitor with 1600x1200 resolution. Sadly, these seem to be as rare as hens' teeth in 2020. In any case, I found this one. It turns out that this is a truly excellent monitor. The illumination is as even as can be, edge to edge, corner to corner, without the edge discoloration that is sometimes seen on LCDs. The viewing angle is excellent, as this uses an IPS panel.


The monitor and stand appear to be well-built, and I expect them to last for many years. Connectivity is good (Displayport, DVI, and VGA, all of which I need), and input switching is fast.


My only complaint is the price, which is fairly insane in a world full of $200 monitors, but it is justified here because a) this is pretty much the only quality 4x3 1600x1200 monitor on the market right now and b) this is a very high-quality unit.

[111 ppi] I decided to switch from using 2 27 monitors to this single 38 for my photo and video editing. I don't regret the switch for a second. The monitor has great picture quality, and useful expansion with the USB ports. I don't use the monitor speakers, but they're there in a pinch if you needed them. I used to think that curved monitors we're gimmicky, but when your eyes are 1-2 feet away, the curve insures you will have no bad viewing angles as you look from corner to corner. I don't know if this would be a good monitor for gamers, but for editing I won't use anything but an ultrawide again. I know there are comparable monitors out there for less money, so which you go with us up to you. I'm very happy with the viewsonic for myself.

[IPS-Type LCD] Long story short: analysis paralysis. Wanted the Apple XDR, but refuse to spend the money on it as I no longer edit professionally. I wanted an ultrawide flat, and refused to evaluate curved monitors. I was an architectural photo/video pro in a past life, straight lines were critical.

I caught a couple of good reviews about this monitor on YT, so I did some digging. I considered going with 2x 27s, but that would have been overkill. Then apple came out with the new 27 Pro Display and that would have priced me out. So I landed at this ViewSonic. You already know the screen space is massive. Where this monitor crushes is color fidelity and the other important features. It's dead quiet, its colorful, its customizable, it's got tons of i/o, it's lightweight, and it's been highly reliable. I have it connected to a 2018 MBP through eGPU (that sometimes gives me hell) but otherwise, this monitor connects with ease. If you are on the fence between this and ANY other curved equivalent, consider this monitor from ViewSonic. I was pleasantly surprised. I nearly bought the new LG ultrawide before acquiring this, and I have zero regrets.

Is it perfect? No. But, sub $1500, this monitor is a pleasure to sit behind for long business days, and fun post-production projects on my weekends.

[IPS-Type LCD] This display is not for everyone, but if you need a flexible compact flat panel with above average color performance and better consistency across the entire display than you can typically from a lower cost unit, the EV-2450 delivers. Worth every penny.

[40.11 lb] I have a 2016 MacBook Pro. With the 1 USB-C cable provided with the monitor, I'm able to send the video and audio signal to the monitor, use the monitor's USB hub, and charge my MacBook, all through the 1 cable.

I selected the preset "text mode" on the monitor, since I'm a software engineer that looks at text all day. It's very crisp and easy on the eyes. I have it vesa mounted to my desk.

So far, I've had no issues with this monitor. I'm very impressed!

[3840 x 1600] This monitor is shear perfection. No need for dual monitors with all the extra bezels and stands. One monitor elegantly does it all. I am a developer and love the extra screen space to have documentation in one window and code editors in other ones - no more window swapping and squeezing. Eizo monitors are spectacular and I have never had even one bad pixel with them since I started using them More than 20 years ago. BH delivered it in short time via freight - great experience.

[3840 x 1600] This is a great looking Monitor. No need for calibration on arrival, it just looks great right out of the box. I look forward to working on it for both music and video projects. Onboard speakers aren't great, but I'm not going to use them.

[24:10] After doing lots of reading and reviewing of screens over the last several months, I finally landed on purchasing this screen. I am a remote worker, and was using 2 screens connected through a port replicator on a laptop that I use for work. Besides the bajillion cords needed to connect those screens, they never seemed to connect well, and often needed some fussing to get the resolution and ratio right. The speakers never worked, either, so I used a separate speaker. Also, the gap between those screens became increasingly annoying to manage. If I wanted to open up a spreadsheet very widely, I had to choose one screen or the other. When moving windows out of the way, but still refer to them, I was compelled to move them completely over to the second screen, instead of just doing a small adjustment. This screen has one USB Type C cable, and it works, whether I have it connected to my Dell work computer, or my personal MacBook Pro. I also like that it's NOT SMART. Just plug, play and forget about it. The color and resolution is great, the sound is fine for collaboration with work mates. Much of the cabled mess attached to my other screens is gone, so it's more manageable. I've been using it for over a month now, and haven't had any trouble so far. Highly recommended.
