Sleek and super bright, the FUJIFILM X-mount 7artisans 35mm f/0.95 Lens for FUJIFILM X Mountis a versatile prime characterized by its f/0.95 maximum aperture and all-manual design. The speed of the lens suits working in low-light conditions and also affords increased control over depth of field for isolating subject matter and using selective focus techniques. Complementing this is a pair of ultra-low dispersion elements, which control chromatic aberrations and color fringing in order to produce high clarity and color accuracy. The manual focus design of the lens permits working with subjects as close as 1.2' away and the manual aperture ring has also been de-clicked for silent adjustments that suit video applications. Also, this lens sports a 12-blade diaphragm that contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Normal-length prime is designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length.

Immensely fast f/0.95 maximum aperture benefits working with shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques, and also suits photographing in low-light conditions.

Two ultra-low dispersion elements reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to achieve high clarity and accurate color rendering.

Manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 1.2'.

Depth of field and distance scales aid pre-focusing and zone focusing techniques.

De-clicked aperture ring promotes smooth and silent aperture switching to benefit video applications.

12-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the diameter and length off this lens?

A: The 7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f/0.95 Lens for FUJIFILM X is 56 x 63mm.

Q: 2. I know this only has manual aperture controll. Will aperture priority mode (on the camera) pick a shutter speed to match the aperture I pick, or will the CAMERA only function in manual mode?

A: While ultimately that answer will depend on your camera, most modern digital cameras will work in Av/Aperture Priority mode (as well as any auto/semi-auto mode but with the camera only adjusting ISO/SS) when used with a non-communicative lens such as this 7Artisans 35mm f/0.95.

Q: 3. Is this lens compatible with the Nikon d3400?

A: No it is not. There is not an option that's available for the Nikon F mount cameras.

Q: 4. With the original 7Artisans 35mm f/1.2, the lens extends beyond the MFT mount when focussed at infinity. Does the rear of the f/0.95 lens extend ?

A: The rear of the lens does not extend so you won't have any issues with the lens extending beyond the MTF mount.

Q: 5. Compatible with the Olympus OMD em10 mark iv?

A: One would need to get this lens in the correct mount for the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV Mirrorless Camera. One would need the 7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f/1.4 Lens for Micro Four Thirds (Silver), BH #7A3514M43 (https://bhpho.to/3gOHEDo). Keep in mind this is a manual lens, and aperture and focus would need to be controlled manually.

Q: 6. Is this lens black or dark titanium?

A: The 7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f/0.95 Lens for FUJIFILM X is black.

Q: 7. Is there a version that is compatible with Fuji X mount?

A: Yes, there is a version of this lens for Fujifilm X-mount: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1600709-REG/7artisans_photoelectric_a003b_x_35mm_f_0_95_lens_for.html

Q: 8. This lens had been working perfectly on my Olympus OMD E-M10 mkIII until the body wouldn't recognize the lens (black screen). Other lenses work fine, and this did too until recently, albeit being a snug fit. Please advise?

A: Are you within 30 days of purchase? If yes I would recommend reaching out to B&H customer service. If under 1 year you will want to speak to the Manufacturer. 7artisans Photoelectric Website http://www.7artisans.com/en/

Q: 9. On a Nikon Z 7ii (full frame) this would still be 35mm focal length but you just lose some of the resolution - is that right?

A: Because this lens will vignette on a full-frame sensor, it'll likely only be usable in DX-mode, which will give you an equivalent of 52.5mm.

Q: 10. Does this lens comes with a focus tab in the box?

A: The artisans Photoelectric 35mm f/0.95 Lens for FUJIFILM X does not include a focus tab.

[APS-C] I'm using the E-mount version on a Sony A6000. I was interested in the manual aspects of this lens. It's fun because it forces you to think about your focus and depth of field. It is surprisingly well-made for the money and feels solid. I recommend getting a snap-in lens cap - the provided one is nice but won't stay on once you add a filter.
I looked at some reviews of more expensive options in the f0.95 category, but their quality seems quite comparable to this bargain. There is a bit of fringing, especially compared to a higher-end lens like the Sony/Zeiss 24mm f1.8, but I think this lens is a great value and useful for various creative shots.

[Manual Focus] Excellent bodybuilding quality ,all metal construction more like Nikon ais manual lens . center erea sharp enough wide open , start f/2.8 corner sharp also improved f/4 from f/16 super sharp better then viltrox 35 mm lens or Fuji’s own 35 f/1.4 lens not much CA too. comparing Mitakon 35 f/0.95 are 1/2 stop brighter Mitakon has true f/0.95 , 7artisan is f/1.1 came out , I tested again and again 5 days tested . But I still happy with price and picture quality only pay $250 not $480 ( Mitakon) , now I wait for new 21 mm f/1.2 and 90 mm f/1.4 hopefully sooner. Use it excellent lens . Thank you B&H photo .

[APS-C] Build quality is excellent and the mechanisms of this lens feel expertly crafted, so the product feels premium, using the lens in practice is just as great, its a manual focus lens so getting your subject tack sharp will take some personal skill/practice, glass is great and produces amazing imagines.

[FUJIFILM X] I don't care if it is not critically sharp or have perfect color or whatever in the corners. This lens is incredibly versatile and sharp, and I have been shooting with it exclusively since I bought it. It seems to me to have great color rendition and wonderful bokeh.

[FUJIFILM X] The lens is really well built. Holding in hand, it feels so solid. Focus ring and aperture ring are very smooth. When in focus, the picture is sharp enough, even at f/ 0.95. I am happy with it.

[Manual Focus] I love this lens. It is a quality lens, built like a tank and optically fine. You can't expect too much from an f/0.95 lens. It's been on my Nikon Z fc a lot since getting it.

[FUJIFILM X] Build quality appears top notch. As many others have said I wish the aperture ring was clicked but that's not too big of a deal. What most impresses me about this lens is that the center of the frame is quite sharp wide open. Some reviews have complained that it's not sharp across the frame wide open but not only is this common even among lenses costing many time the price but more often than not I don't want the edges to be sharp when shooting wide open. Bokeh is the goal here. Overall quite happy with this lens. shooting it on a Nikon Z fc. EXIF data would be nice if it had electrical contacts. Maybe at some point 7Artisan will offer that feature. This lens is way better than some of the earlier Leica mount 7Artisans lenses I tried a few years ago.
