A: From our testing, both cameras have very responsive one-shot and servo AF speeds and tracking. As to which performs better, we were unable to conclusively determine if one was better than the other, so our assumption is the perform very very similarly, if not equally.

[0.32 lb] Bought this for our daughter and she had it on vacation with us this past 10 days. She came away hooked and is looking forward to taking it with her during a study abroad semester in the UK/Europe later this year. It's a pretty slick camera and it took some awesome photos in her hands an in mine. I was very impressed with the focus accuracy using the DPAF that I'm thinking about buying one myself (along with a Canon EF-M lens adapter) to augment my lightweight SL2 set-up. 5

[0.32 lb] With the recent price drop, this camera is a no-brainer, best bang for your buck camera.� Especially for the beginner and casual photographers, this is a great camera, again, for the price point.� It may not be the best 4k video dslr, but at least it has 4k capability.� You can't go wrong with Canon, the colors are spot on.� If there is one thing I can point out, it is the battery life.� But if you don't mind switching out every so often, there are a bunch of cheap 3rd party batteries like the wasabi power batteries. 5
