Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this unit work with the older Yamaha P-155 piano?

A: This pedal unit is not designed for the P-155.

Q: 2. What is the polarity of this model please? Looking for something compatible with Technics piano with half-damp facility

A: The F10H is an optical pedal so there is no polarity as with a mechanical pedal. The F10H will only work with Kawai keyboards that use optical pedals. The Auray FP-P1L Universal Piano-Style Sustain Pedal, B&H # AUFPP1L has switchable polarity.

Q: 3. Would this board work with the CA970 piano? It has a 5 pin connector labeled H J8T.

A: This item is not designed for the CA970.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Kawai ES 120

A: Yes, the Kawai F-10H - Single Damper Pedal for Kawai Digital Pianos will work great with the Kawai ES120 88-Key Portable Digital Piano.

Q: 5. the pedal is doing the opposite. It sustains when I don't press and vice versa. What should I do to fix the problem?

A: Your keyboard appears to be expecting the opposite polarity for the pedal. See if there is a switch on the pedal itself to reverse polarity, or if you can change this setting on your keyboard. I would expect that the pedal would work correctly out of the box with a Kawai piano, but who knows if a polarity setting could have been changed. Definitely sounds like a simple polarity issue, though, which could certainly arise out of the box if you are using the pedal with another brand of keyboard, because the polarity convention varies among manufacturers.

Q: 6. Will this work with the newly released DGX-670 from yamaha? Is it mountable for the leg stand unit.

A: Yes, that is the correct 3 pedal unit for use with the DGX-670.

Q: 7. How would you connect a pair of external powered speakers for stereo?

A: You can connect external powered speakers to the Kawai ES920 Digital Piano by using either the 3.5mm TRS headphone jack or the 1/4" TRS line output and using a stereo Y-cable with the appropriate connectors for the input on your speakers. If needed, you can certainly use adapters to enable compatibility. Connecting external speakers to the headphone jack will bypass the keyboard's built-in speakers.

Q: 8. Will this work with Kawai vpc1?

A: Referring to the user manual for the VPC-1, it appears that this pedal does provide the connection types that the keyboard is expecting. The VFP3/10 pedal provides a single stereo TRS jack and a single mono TS jack for its pedal connectivity, with contact open at rest.

Q: 9. I have the same question concerning the stand. I too, would like to use the pedals with the portable stand. Anybody have an answer?

A: This pedal board is meant to work specifically with the wooden stand. You can connect the cables, but you would have to do some sort of modification to stabilize the pedals.

Q: 10. is the pictured photo with the black color on the three pedal the actual item im getting?

A: You are getting the whole bar, exactly as pictured. The pedals are incorporated in the middle of the bar. The pictures are accurate.

[Yes] Works well, looks great, mounts easily to the stand! Also includes pieces to hide the wire which was very appreciated!

[Yes] I actually needed new pedals for an older Kawai CN32 piano, and this fit the bill perfectly at a great price to perform the repair, which was a hardware swap of the pedal component. Plug and play, works perfect!

[Proprietary] Not sure what the hidden agenda Kyle has as none of his review is true.
Sound is fantastic with the speakers able to deliver the highest notes of the piano with detail but no harshness.
The action feels amazing and it is a highly regarded one as well by experts not just me.
Do yourself a favor and ignore Kyle's review as it looks rather suspicous.

[14.15 lb] The pedals that came with my MP-11 wore out, and I tried to buy the F-20 set to save money, but it wouldn't work--apparently only the F-30 will. This is a little frustrating, honestly, since the sostenuto pedal really doesn't come up that often and I didn't feel like I needed it. But it's worth being aware of. The F-30 works fine; the half-damper feature doesn't quite mimic the pedal gradations of an analog piano, but it's remarkably close.

[Yes] I am picking up the piano again after a long hiatus and the pedals were about what I was expecting. I tend to sit a bit low (too low maybe) so I feel like my foot is coming up a little to reach them, but they are not uncomfortable. I like the range they give in that pressing the pedal hard results in a strong effect but they can be pressed very lightly as well for a mild effect. I'm liking them!

[Satin Black] This had made a huge difference for my mother's compatible piano, a must have for the P-121, P-125 or P-515.
