Designed for small businesses, schools, hotels, restaurants, conference centers, and other high-density environments, the Netgear AX1800 Dual-Band 2.5G Insight Access Pointoffers high versatility to provide fast, reliable Wi-Fi access to employees and clients. This 802.11ax access point features a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port for multi-Gig network connections and may be mounted on either a wall or ceiling using the included kit. It can be powered using its included AC adapter or with Power-over-Ethernet when it is connected to a compatible router or network switch. This switch can also be configured alongside compatible mesh Wi-Fi devices to extend wireless coverage and eliminate dead spots. You can configure up to eight SSIDs with individual VLANs, providing administrators, employees, and guests separate access privileges. The wireless signal is secured by enterprise-grade WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 authentication, and the network can be configured, managed, and monitored from almost anywhere using the Netgear Insight app or web-based access portal.

This 802.11ax access point connects to network routers and switches to transfer data at up to 1800 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies for smooth video streaming, file transfers, and video conferencing. [Wall, Ceiling] You have to go into the app to modify settings to have the router perform at its highest potential. But other than that, this thing picks up faster speeds than what my internet provider is providing. I’m super happy with it. 5

[Internal] This is a fantastic Access Point. You still need a router so this device can allow clients to connect and assign them an IP. Netgear insight portal is convenient and easy to use. Highly recommend it. 5

[3.8 to 4.5 dBi] I bought this to make sure I had constant wifi converge to my ring out cameras and doorbell. A little overkill I'm sure but it gets the job done. With HD1080P cameras it was hard to keep a constant Wi-Fi signal at one of my cameras farthest from the router to give me a clear picture. Put this in the garage and it now provides seamless uninterrupted coverage to all of my cameras. I couldn't be happier 5
