This durable aluminum Niceyrig Riser Baseplate Rosettes 15mm Rod Clamp Cinema Camerasfrom Niceyrig Riser Baseplate Rosettes 15mm Rod Clamp Cinema Camerasis designed to add approximately 1" of height, 15mm LWS rod support, and rosette mounting points to your Canon C100/C300/C500, Sony FS7/FS5/FS9, RED DSMC2, or Kinefinity cinema camera. The riser baseplate is approximately 0.7" taller than its sibling, the Niceyrig 401 baseplate, to provide a higher camera level for different lens sizes.

It features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mounting threads on the bottom, and it features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera mounting screws on the top. ARRI-style rosettes on either side provide mounting points for optional handles, extension arms, or grips. Rubber padding on top provides protection for your camera and prevents twisting.

A: The Falcam F38 QR plate is much smaller than the F50 and because of this, it is not compatible with the Falcam Baseplate with Dual 15mm Rod Clamps.

A: The 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate + Riser Plate I + 10" ARRI Dovetail Plate Bundle's base plate must slide onto the ARRI Dovetail.

Q: 9. Can you still achieve the 85mm lens height on the RED Komodo without the smallrig cage? Or with another cage (ex: 8sinn)

A: No. You will need a proper, dedicated Komodo cage to achieve proper lens heights.

[7.7 x 4.8 x 2"] I work with smaller Canons and Sonys mostly. This plate let me add rods for things like adding wireless follow focus. Rods also help with being a bit more stable when shooting handheld. Depending the lens I sometime have to add a riser but overall I would recommend it for the price point. Overall 4/5 no complains. Would recommend. 5

This is very well built and the price is fantastic compared to competitors. I use this for handheld use. I can't even see needing a cage (which they don't have for my camera yet) with this setup. I use this one, I also bought the one with the riser, for my gimbal setups. 5

[Baseplate] I use this baseplate on my Sony FX6 and it works great! When I saw this product with the name Niceyrig I thought it might be a cheaply made alternative to other more expensive brands. I took a chance with this baseplate and was pleasantly surprised. It is very well built, seems to be a mostly metal construction, and does what it's supposed to. I love having rosettes and a rod clamp built-in a baseplate. This makes for a much more modular camera setup without compromising quality or durability. 5

[Baseplate] It's a tight fit on my 9inch 15mm rods, between the camera cage and the battery plate, but this just barely pulls it off, whereas the traditional rod block wouldn't fit. I mount a kondor blue t5 ssd holder onto the cold shoe, to fit between the rear battery plate and the camera + cage in front. Connect via angelbird 50cm/19.6 usbc cable. If you're using 12 rods, there's other options, but this helps keep my rig small for shooting in tight spaces. Glorious. 5
