[0.355 lb] When I received the Elinchrom, I had to update the firmware which took me a while to figure out. It wasn't hard, just had to find it on their site. Once I powered it up and searched for and found my lights, I was able to verify my lights had updated firmware. I've been playing with it for a few days and it's nice to be able to control the lights on my Elinchrom Skyport Bridge iPhone app.

[0.355 lb] I use an Elinchrom EL Skyport triger which has the ability to control the lights from my camera. However, the Skyport requires a number of button pushes to adjust several lights. Ok, I'm whining. The bridge let's me adjust four groups of lights (in my case four lights) with an easy iPhone touch control.

The one small ding on the device is that I had trouble getting it to initially sync up with my iPhone. After a good bit of fiddling, I followed the instruction to first update the Skyport Bridge software. That did the trick. I'm surprised, but probably shouldn't be, that manufacturers sell a product that needs an update right out of the box before it will perform a basic function. As I said, it's a small point.

[0.355 lb] Quality is excellent. Remote is useless, doesn't affect my 5 star review. I never use the remotes during trial. Easy to use UI, works friendly with DAs and Monitors.

[0.355 lb] I use this product in our committee rooms, legislative house, and senate chambers. It is very easy to add and network together for the perfect control. It would be nice to have a web connect feature for internet remote access control (hint, hint).

[0.355 lb] Great app for adjusting your lights without having to use the small display on the trigger or moving from where you're shooting. I shoot tethered in the studio, so I can see an image, make any adjustments on the lighting power, etc. in another window on my laptop, and shoot.

[0.355 lb] Rarely do I fly my Steadicam without my Zen attached. The precision and accuracy is phenomenal, and calibrating it right after I've found my perfect balance is a breeze. Though I'm not always trying to keep it all green and centered up because ether shot will demand otherwise, I still love having the visual indicator in my periphery (I mount mine below my monitor with a custom 3D printed bracket) because it helps me understand the exact movement that my sled is going through or where it is in space without having to rely on visual indicators on the monitor. The pan function is really interesting but I haven't found a use for it yet. I've already done a software update through the USB-C (which can also be used to power the unit) and it's super easy, gave me new features! The customization on how you can display what axis or axes, or G-forcd even, and define the sensitivity and format of display and everything. So much packed into this simple little rectangle, it's my favorite!
