The Astera NYX Bulb Case for Safe Transportfrom Astera NYX Bulb Case for Safe Transportis a corrosion-proof hard case used to carry equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. More specifically, the case is designed for eight NYX bulbs, one power supply, eight cup bouncers, and one 48VDC PSU (sold separately).

It is made of an ultra-high-impact plastic that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a hinged case with double latches that seal perfectly, and padlock protectors that provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft.

Q: 1. Does the NYX LED bulb contain CRMX in it, or would a separate PowerStation be required to control each bulb?

A: Yes, the Astera NYX LED Bulbs have wireless DMX. Each bulb can be powered by using a socket or a control box. These lights do not have a built in battery. To change power and/or color plug in a control box or use the app. Once the power and/or color are adjusted the bulb can be turned off and will maintain settings.

Q: 2. Will they have internal batteries?

A: The Astera LunaBulb LED Bulb with Titan LED Engine does not run on an internal battery. it is AC only

Q: 3. Would this case work for Zeiss Batis lenses as well?

A: Unfortunately, the Zeiss Batis lenses have a wider diameter than the Zeiss Loxia lenses, so lens cutouts in the ZEISS Loxia Transport Case/Bag wouldn't fit the Zeiss Batis lenses appropriately.

Q: 4. Is the interior foam already cut?

A: No, the foam interior in the Pelican 0550 Transport Case with Foam (Black) is not already cut.

Q: 5. can you buy the Zeiss bag only ?

A: It looks like the interior bag is not sold separately.

Q: 7. Will this case fit the older style Zeiss SLR lenses (inlays) as I have 3, I'm looking for a case that will support those as well as a 100 Milvus? Thanks Phil.

A: Yes, the new case will fit both the ZEISS 'Classic' as well as the new Milvus lenses. There are specific inlays available for each lens type, which hold it securely within one of the six openings.

A: The foam in the Pelican 0550 Transport Case with Foam is not already cut. You can cut the foam based on your requirement.

A: The case configuration shown in this product photo is not correct. The transport case for the ZEISS Super Speed ZE Lens Bundle provides for 4 opening slots with the lenses laying horizontally. The photo will be updated shortly.

A: Yes, there are hinges on only one side, like a door.

[Yes] very well built case. I was considering building a flight case for my telescope, but an glad I went with the 1780T case. The pre-cut pick foam is great. My decision to go with this case will save me a great deal of time and was not that much more expensive than building my own custom flight case. Plus this case is environmental sealed. 5

[Latch] These bulbs are great and the above reviewers obviously didn't do due diligence before buying. These bulbs are controlled via Power Station, Astera Box or using CRMX. These are better than the Aputure offering (I owned both) but you need to understand what you are buying and how they fit into your work. 5

[Latch] Whether for storage or transport, this case is one of the largest of its type on the market. It does take a while to get it, but it is up to the usual level of quality expected out of Pelican products. We are using this particular model for long-term dry storage of photographic slides, film negatives, prints and digital storage media, of which it will hold plenty. It is quite heavy, which is to be expected, but has casters available if you need, and handles that should support quite a load. It would also make an excellent footlocker. 5

[6.965 lb] Super well made waterproof airtight case. Will mostly use for storage. Can be used for transport but since the case is really big one would need to be careful not to load it so heavy that it would require multiple people to lift it. I like the fact that the lid is completely removable rather than being hinged. 5

[Latch] We pack heavy door hardware demos in these transport cases. The cases themselves are very lightweight, adding little to the overall weight, which is high. Rolling on very sturdy, almost hidden wheels, even fully loaded @ 145 lbs it glides well. Wheels are protected from possible damage in transport. 5

[Precut Foam] I am involved in cowboy action shooting, and normally take 2-3 rifles, 2 shotguns and 2-4 revolvers on a trip. This case allows me to make one trip to move the firearms into the hotel at night, instead of numerous trips with several cases. As with all Pelican cases, sturdy, secure and mobile. 5

[Black] The case is extremely sturdy and easily configured. My only complaint would be the weight, but I guess thats the cost of having it be so strong and secure. The case is heavier than what I am putting in it. 5
