The tan Shure DL4 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone for Bodypackis a waterproof, omnidirectional miniature lavalier microphone equipped with a 3-pin LEMO connector for compatible Shure wireless bodypack transmitters. Built to withstand the rigors of professional use with an IP57 dust-resistant, waterproof rating, this durable mic offers a neutral, full-range sound ideal for capturing speech, dialog, and singing in broadcast, reality TV, presentation, and theater applications.

The DL4 DuraPlex features a 5mm miniature capsule for discrete placement. The mic also offers high gain before feedback, making it well suited for speech and dialog at events with loud sound reinforcement. To compensate for any potential loss of high end when positioning the mic, a presence cap is included that boosts the 10 kHz range about 3 to 4 dB for added clarity and intelligibility—this is especially helpful when concealing the lav for film and theatrical work.

Designed to stand up to adverse conditions, the mic is equipped with a long-lasting, fully paintable, 1.6mm Shure Plex cable. The dual-redundant ground in the cable serves as secondary shield, giving it unprecedented durability and immunity to memory effect and kinks.

A: Using a Y connection is NOT recommended. The results will probably result in an audio track that is very distorted or over-modulated. [Omnidirectional] As many others have noted it's a perfect companion for the (equally excellent) DJI transmitters. It was tough to find the kind of lav that don't screw in on the end, but this works perfectly and has a great sound to it. Just go for it. 5

[5 V] Not compatible with all computers, not compatible with cameras, only for cell phones. However, just buy a TRS to TRRS adapter and it will be able to work with of all devices. 5

[Omnidirectional] This is a five star mic, Shure slaps their name on the mic clip because they are proud of this product - and they should be! Listening with studio quality monitors (Shure branded ironically), this tiny little mic can has the same frequency range as my Rode NTG-3. In some cases, it actually sounds better because of proximity. Absolutely pleased with the quality! I also use the Sanken Cos-11d and can testify that that mic sounds a bit thinner in my opinion. Shure knocked it out of the park with this one! 5

[Plug-In Power] Use this product for recording interviews, teachings, etc. Works great. Plug into my iPhone and using the Shure Motiv app lets me record quality full resolution files in 24bit /48 Khz. And If You are recording video you can just sync it with the audio file in production. Love it. Helps me to capture quality audio wherever I am or whatever the context. 5
