The black Shure DH5 Omnidirectional Headset Mic Black TA4Fis an omnidirectional miniature headset microphone equipped with a TA4F connector for compatible Shure wireless bodypack transmitters. Built for the rigors of professional use, this durable mic offers a neutral, full-range sound ideal for capturing speech, dialog, and singing in broadcast, presentation, and theater applications.

The DH5 DuraPlex features a 5mm miniature capsule on a silicone boom pivot system that can be discreetly placed on either the left or right ear. The mic offers high gain before feedback, making it well suited for speech and dialog at events with loud sound reinforcement. To compensate for any potential loss of high end when positioning the mic, a presence cap is included that boosts the 10 kHz range about 3 to 4 dB for added clarity and intelligibility.

Designed to stand up to adverse conditions, the mic is equipped with a long-lasting, fully paintable, 1.6mm Shure Plex cable. The dual-redundant ground in the cable serves as secondary shield, giving it unprecedented durability and immunity to memory effect and kinks.

A: No, I don't think the Shure Snap-Fit Windscreen for DL4 and DH5 DuraPlex Microphones is going to work with the Rode Lavalier GO because the microphones that this windscreen is designed to fit are flat and the windscreen snaps on. As a better option for the Lavalier GO, you can use the WindTech Windscreen- 3/16" - 3-Pack, White (B&H # WI2300PW).

Q: 2. I have an Audio-Technica broadcast headset that is made useless by the excessive noise from the plastic parts that transmit into the microphone. Dies the Shure BRH50M have similar issues?

A: We haven't had any complaints regarding the Shure BRH50M.

Q: 3. dos this fitFoam for shure blx mic?

A: This windscreen and clothing clip set is intended for use with the Shure WH series headsets, such as the WH10, WH20 and WH30 models. I am not sure which model microphone you have with your BLX series wireless system.

Q: 4. Is this the standard xlr connection or the mini xlr?

A: This headset come with a mini XLR and a standard XLR adapter. I love this headset because I can use it with my wireless body transmitter and also use it pulgged in to my mixer. It does require phatom power when used with a mixer.

Q: 5. Will this work as a replacement antenna for the psm600 transmitter?

A: This would work with PSM systems but you just have to make sure you purchase the antenna that matches the frequency range your PSM system is using. This antenna is available in 12 different frequency ranges. Make sure the one you purchases matches the system you already own.

Q: 6. Does Shure BRH441M-LC include cable?

A: I was wondering the same thing. After further checking item number on the Shure web site, the cable is not included. I'm guessing the "LC" in the item number stands for "less cable".

A: There are no small gaskets on the Shure UA8 1/2 Wave Omnidirectional Receiver Antenna (578-638 MHz). It is a BNC connector and it bends 90-degrees after the BNC connector. The rest of the assembly is the attached connected antenna.

A: Unfortunately Shure has not provided a spec for the internal diameter of the Shure Foam Windscreen for DL4 and DH5 DuraPlex Microphones.

[0.685 lb] This mic has a smaller cartridge than the single-hook Pyles, and a clearer and a little warmer sound. Pyle also upgraded the strain-relief in the connector. I just finished a student musical with 18 of these and no failures. If you cannot afford Countryman, these are a viable alternative. 5

[0.685 lb] We needed a head-worn microphone for our church services but had a limited budget. I was hesitant about this microphone at first d to its really low cost in comparison to some other brands, but decided to try it anyway. Another selling point was the beige color that makes it less obtrusive. I wired a small adapter to change the connector pin out to match the EV body pack wireless transmitter we had. This microphone works great and we have been using it every week for over a year with no problems. We record the sermons live and the recorded and in-house live audio is remarkable, especially for a unit so competitively priced. The wiring isn't heavy duty, but I still give this microphone five stars based on the performance and value. 5

[Omnidirectional] As the audio tech for our church, I bought this mic to replace an aging and fraying Countryman over-the-ear mic.� We've had it for only two weeks and so far no problems.� No more taping the mic to the face of the pastor and fighting to shape the ear holder.� The headpiece fits well and stays in place, and the mic sounds just as good as the old mic.� Note that this mic puts out a stronger signal into the Shure SLX1 body pack transmitter and the receiver can show a lot of red (clipping) for signal strength for a strong voice.� That was fixed by setting the body pack gain switch to 0 (db) instead of the mic position, which allowed the gain/trim on the mixer to be set back to its normal position.� As others have said, at this price it can't be beat.� I plan on buying two more as spares. 5
