The ergonomic shape supports your hand in a handshake position. This design is intended to provide comfort and reduce the chance of wrist pain.

Smartly-placed thumb buttons are both within easy reach at the top and bottom of a contoured thumb rest.

Four lights show pointer speeds from slow to fast: slow speed or low DPI for precision work such as photo editing or drawing; fast speed or high DPI for quickly moving across the screen for general tasks.

Configure the buttons to perform nearly any function you wish, such as Copy or Paste, with fewer clicks and mouse movements.

Scroll horizontally in Microsoft Excel by pressing a thumb button and rolling the scroll wheel.

Smart scrolling varies sensitivity per notch in response to the speed you roll the wheel, from slow-and-precise all the way to hyper speed for blazing through long pages.

Quickly lower your screen's brightness to help reduce eye strain by simply rolling the mouse wheel. Easily change the brightness of the screen as your ambient light level changes.

VerticalMouse D models are available in three sizes: Small, Medium and Large. Small will fit hands measuring 7" or less from palm to the middle fingertip, while hands measuring 7 to 7.8" will be better fitted to Medium. Large is designed for hands exceeding 7.8" from palm to middle fingertip.

A: The country of origin for this would be the country of China.

Q: 4. Looking for a way to have speakers plugged into my laptop...but not directly connected. Blue tooth speakers are out for power reason. So want to connect between laptop and receiver. Is this what this does?

A: Yes, you can either connect to the WXC-50 with Bluetooth or wifi (on same network) from the laptop and then output to your receiver using output jacks (RCA type) or optical link. The WXC-50 also enables you to access many streaming music / internet radio sources directly.

Q: 9. Want to play music to my airplay speakers. It's not clear from the descriptions I have read re the WXA/C-50, that that is possible. I want to still use my existing A/V Receiver as the controller delivering sound in my home. I want the WXA/C-50 to simply take input via its mini-stereo plug which is connected to the RCA output of my A/V Receiver and pump that as WiFi Airplay output to my Airplay speakers. Can it operate this way? The WXA/C-50 needs to operate as an Airplay transmitter not just a as a receiver like any iDevice can.

A: i BELIEVE IT WILL ONLY OPERATE WITH MUSIC CAST EQUIPPED SPEAKERS. I USE IT FOR STREAMING MULTIPLE STATIONS OVER THE INTERNET AS WELL AS SIRIUSXM. i AM NOT A YAMAHA EXPERT BUT DON'T BELIEVE IT WILL DO AIRPLAY. MAYBE CHECK WITH THEM.

Q: 10. What is the subwoofer crossover frequency ?

A: The manufacture confirmed Yamaha WXC-50 MusicCast Wireless Streaming Preamplifier (Dark Silver) has a frequency of 250Hz.

[Mac, Windows] My wrists were getting sore with a traditional mouse, so I tried this one. I've been using one since 2012 and it is still going strong. I ordered this additional one for the office.

Also, there are tons of extra buttons if you like that sort of thing, or you can turn them off if you don't want to use them.

[Yes] This is the second Evoluent mouse I have owned. They are the most comfortable truly ergonomic mouse on the market. I have tried several. As an architect I use a lot of design softwares that require a high level of mouse control, not unlike gaming. This mouse saved me from Carpal Tunnel syndrome after a string of long deadlines. It's expensive, but just as worth it as a truly comfortable desk chair. I highly recommend this for daily use.

[Laser] My last mouse was a vertical mouse, but was finally wearing out after nearly a decade. This is a great replacement. I love the customizable buttons, and the finger grooves make for a great grip.

[Right] We keyboard warriors and office drones often find many things to complain about, like lag, screens to small, not enough ram but I've nothing to complain about when it comes to this mouse other than 35 years of adjustment to the new style. I never noticed how much my wrist actually hurt after the 10-12 hours a day I put into using a mouse and then age caught up with me. And while I may never be able to play counterstrike with this mouse, because I'm old and don't want to change that part of me, the majority of my work day is using this new mouse. My arm pain and soreness has been reduced by at least 90%(does nothing for my eyes or my hunched back). It does require a bit of learning curve and yes, I do unintentionally whack it from time to time because of it's height but I would recommend this to any desktop worker and feel like this type of model should be put in all schools.

[Right] Looks weird but is ergonomically functional! Gf has been using it for a couple of weeks and her carpal tunnel issues are not bothering her.

[Laser] Once I got this mouse, all the pain in my right arm and wrist went completely away. I had the bluetooth version of this first, but it kept loosing the connection through out the day, so I tried this wifi version and it works flawlessly. Just be aware that the software that comes with it doesn't work on the new Mac operating systems, but you can get USB Overdrive that will allow you to set up all the preferences for the buttons.

[Laser] A vertical mouse is so much more comfortable for me. I’ve had great luck with Evoluent mice. The button set up is intuitive and configurable.

[1x AA] As I life log trackpad used this mouse was/is a learning curve but after a short time I adjusted and really like it. After a bicep and shoulder surgery a traditional mouse would cause serious discomfort in my wrist and arm. The vertical mouse solved this issue.

[1x AA] The new D series VerticalMouse comes in three sizes (S, M, L), and the M fits my hand well. Evoluent wins out over other vertical mice I've tried, at least in my book. The only snag is the Evoluent software got hung up on my Mac Pro running OS 14.6. After deleting the scattered bits of the app, I'm simply using the standard button functions that the Mac OS allows rather than being able to assign different functions to the many different buttons and such. (Another option is USB Overdrive, but I haven't tried it yet on this particular mouse.) Even with the software snag, the Evoluent VerticalMouse D rocks. And yes, it really does help keep your wrist healthy by keeping it in a far more natural orientation. Highly recommended.

[USB-A ] I was not sure what to think of the mouse till I got it. Overall I felt like this was a pretty decent mouse. It had the features I wanted out of the box, mainly a three button mouse with the middle button acting as
an middle click and it is ergonomic.

Pros:
- Wired (con for some), so I do not need to worry about batteries
- Middle button acts as an middle click on linux
- It looks like they changed this at some point

Cons:
- My pinky feels just a little cramped, but then I did not think about
size when I bought this.
