Electro-harmonix 1440 Stereo Looper Pedal

$789.30 $1,247.09

Named for the number of total seconds available in its 20 memory banks, the Electro-Harmonix 1440 is a stereo phrase looper pedal designed for electric guitar and other instruments. It provides a digital signal path for your loops, recording and playing them back at uncompressed sample rates and resolutions of 24-bit / 44.1 kHz, allowing you to store your loops in 20 different, selectable memory banks. Also provided are capabilities for unlimited overdubs, undo/redo for deleting/restoring your last pass, half-speed and reverse effects, adjustable fadeouts, and an analog dry-through pass for your uneffected signal.

The pedal offers a level knob for controlling the loop's output volume, while LED indicators display record, play, FX, and memory modes. Your dry signal will always remain at unity gain, and while you’re adding overdubs, you’ll hear no loss of volume to previously recorded tracks in the loop unless you adjust the Overdub control, which dictates the level of the overdub.

A stereo signal path is provided, giving you two 1/4" input jacks and two 1/4" output jacks. Should you wish to control certain parameters of the 720 Stereo Looper from a compatible, external footswitch, you can do so through the 1/4" TRS foot-control input jack. MIDI sync'ing your loops is also possible over the 5-Pin DIN jack.

All your recorded loops remain in their memory banks until you manually erase them, and you can upload your favorite loops to a compatible app over the mini-USB jack. The app is free and available separately. The pedal includes an AC Adapter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this connect to a ballast required enlarger? The Opemus 5 to be exact?

A: The Gra-Lab timer can be used to time any item that has a standard house hold plug.

Q: 2. the pedal is doing the opposite. It sustains when I don't press and vice versa. What should I do to fix the problem?

A: Your keyboard appears to be expecting the opposite polarity for the pedal. See if there is a switch on the pedal itself to reverse polarity, or if you can change this setting on your keyboard. I would expect that the pedal would work correctly out of the box with a Kawai piano, but who knows if a polarity setting could have been changed. Definitely sounds like a simple polarity issue, though, which could certainly arise out of the box if you are using the pedal with another brand of keyboard, because the polarity convention varies among manufacturers.

Q: 3. Is the unit 3440 x 1440 @ 155 Hz or 2560 x 1440 at 155 Hz?

A: The MSI MAG401QR 40" 1440 155 Hz Ultrawide Gaming Monitor has a resolution of 3440 x 1440 at 155 Hz.

Q: 4. switchable polarity?

A: The M-Audio SP-2 is is a universal pedal. The unit features a polarity switch for compatibility with all electronic keyboards.

Q: 5. Will this X-keys XK-3 Rear Hinged Foot Pedal work with Sony Transcription Software?

A: The pedals can be custom programmed to work with nearly any application that is operated by mouse.

Q: 6. Will this work with the TX Wheel Base?

A: The Thrustmaster T3PM Magnetic Pedal Set Add-On BH #THT3PM is compatible with a Thrustmaster TX.

Q: 7. can i use this for mixer reverb as foot switch?

A: Typically you would use a momentary switch, not sustain, to latch effects on or off, but you may want to check with the mixer's owner's manual. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/143489-REG/Korg_PS1_PS1_Single_Momentary_Footswitch.html

Q: 8. Does it have quantize function?

A: Yes. This will quantize.

Q: 9. What is the difference between this timer and the 300S? I cant tell a difference. No good way to compare.

A: The GraLab 300x is the 210-250VAC version of the GraLab 300, which operates on 120VAC.

Q: 10. Whatʻs it take to set up? Is there a PDF manual?

A: Set up instructions are shown on page 06 of the manual, linked here: https://www.studiologic-music.com/support/mp_pedalboard/MP_manual.pdf

[20x] This is the best delay / slap-back echo / mod machine I've ever heard. There are versatile sounds for every need, with responsive controls to dial in the perfect effect. Plus, the secret secondary controls make this even more customizable. The looper is lots of fun, though might be a little difficult to pull off live onstage. Basically, if you're looking for a versatile delay, with some added modular swirly/shimmery sounds and a looper thrown in for good measure, stop reading this and buy this pedal. Just be prepared to sit in front your amp and enjoy exploring the sounds this pedal provides, for hours! Highly recommended!

[1.665 lb] Yes, this pedal is pretty cool! I particularly like the orchestra and choir voices, though the rest are interesting too. I got it, added it to my pedal board, and tried it out at a gig. Audience members were looking around trying to figure out where all the orchestral sounds were coming from. My bandmates thought it was hilarious that our scrappy garage band suddenly had this new big production sound.

[1.665 lb] First of all, this pedal has so many features and applications. Four different octaves, attack, and low-pass filter (I don't use the detune much, but others probably would get some mileage out of it), plus a built-in presets footswitch. One note: if you are powering your pedalboard with a dedicated pedal power supply, only certain combinations of power supply and pedals will work if you include the POG2. Do some research online if you already have a pedal power supply or if you will add one in the future. Even though this was a special delivery order and not something that B&H carries in stock, B&H delivered very quickly.

[24 Minutes] The Electro Harmonix Platform Compressor is a fantastic stereo compressor pedal that works quite well. It runs on a standard 9-volt pedal power supply that it comes with. I used three of them for a live techno set I was doing. I had a Roland TR-8, Roland TB-3, and Novation Circuit all synced and running together. I had Platform Compressors on the stereo out of each piece of gear and they worked perfectly. They were very reliable but I did have a user error once which I will mention so you can avoid it. The Swell knob got bumped and my attack times began fading in completely throwing off the timing of the TB-3. I couldn't figure out what happened till after my set. So be careful to not hit this knob mid performance. To remedy this possibility, I used electrical tape to hold my knob settings in place after this incident and never had this issue again. The Platform Compressor is fantastic for the money and for the functionality. Stereo compression has never been more convenient with the Platform Compressor.

[1.665 lb] Best chorus I've played. Limited range but sounds so good. The modern 9v plug is a bonus.

[1.665 lb] well, I have dozens of pedals, but this one still amazes me from the first day I bought it. spectacular slow down feature, selectable waveforms, 16-step sequencer, envelope, presets, tap tempo (along with tap-in port), expression support, tons of subdivisions... well, it just does everything, in STEREO, and still it's all analog. can be really as slow and as lighting-ring-mod-like fast as you want: the rate button works like a gear switch for precise adjustments. also, we all know EHX doesn't look good at times, but the visuals we got here are just awesome, sorts of retro spaceship with those leds on top (those don't only look nice, but also an important part of its UI). real candy to look at. there's only one con: the thing isn't small and won't fit small boards, but at least all the controls are visible, no hidden settings etc. Devs at EHX could make it smaller and even save some money on electronic parts, but it's big by design: both features and sounds wise.
