Expand storage with the OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual 4TB USB 3.2 Gen 2 SSD RAID Arrayfrom OWC. Designed to provide plenty of storage space for creative workflows, this 4TB RAID array features 2TB SSDs in each bay. Utilizing a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, this array is capable of transfer speeds up to 1250MB/s. Hardware RAID control supports RAID 0, 1, SPAN, and JBOD modes.

Connect to accessories using a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and two Type-A ports. A 60mm cooling fan ensures adequate thermal offloading, while a Kensington Lock slot can be used to secure the array. The Mercury Elite Pro Dual supports 2.5 and 3.5" drives and is bootable in macOS. Supported operating systems include Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, and iPadOS.

From high-demand production studios to your home office, the Mercury Elite Pro Dual integrates with any work environment. Dual drive bays let you install your choice of 2.5 or 3.5" SSDs or HDDs. Built-in hardware RAID gives you enhanced data protection or maximum throughput.

OWC's free Dock Ejector app lets you safely dismount the OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual and any additional external drives connected to it from your computer in a single click. You'll be sure that all data has been safely written before any drive is unmounted, protecting against accidental data loss or corruption.

The Mercury Elite Pro Dual is compact and portable, leaving you more workspace. It connects to any Windows or Mac computer with an available USB port. You can also work cross-platform with Macs and Windows computers using OWC's MacDrive software, available separately.

Active workspaces expose gear to bumps, shoves, and the random tail wag from a pet. Just one ill-timed touch can cause an accidental cable disconnection, interrupting your workflow. Optional OWC ClingOn custom cable stabilizers screw into the housing to secure your USB Type-C connections so you can work with confidence even in the highest foot-traffic environments.

[6.12 lb] Been using this drive for almost a year now. Initially was difficult to setup as Raid 1, but after a 30 minute phone call, OWC tech support helped me switch it to Raid 1. It's kind of a manual process and if I was to buy another I'd likely need to be walked through it again. Nice that it has usb C to USB A, allows me to use this on my 2014 iMac. Works great with my 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro. Export speeds from a Lightroom catalogue saved on the OWC drive with about 4,000 raw photos in the catalogue is fast. I don't do any direct editing off the drive as I use smart preview catalogues on my M1 Pro MacBook so I can't speak to that. But it writes the exported jpegs very quickly to both of its drives when exporting Jpegs from Lightroom's. I didn't want to over pay on drives and I felt like this was a good value and sounds compromise. Would buy again if this one is still in working order in a few years. 5

As others have said, it can be a bit loud but I'm not utilizing this for any post-processing power so it isn't a constant annoyance at my side. It's for archiving more than anything and I'm using all of the smaller SSDs that have piled up for post work. 5

[1 x 72 W] This is my second OWC drive and like my original, this is a high quality drive that is built like a tank and works flawlessly. I am not a high tech guy but I don't think they make them any better than this. This is a plug-N-play with simple directions that allow you to have it up and running in minutes. You can use it as a mirrored drive or load up the two drives independent of one another. it is virtually silent and turns itself on and off. Great product! 5
