Q: 3. Will this product be able to live stream a Canon Vixia HF R600 on a PC Windows 10?

A: Your capture device will accept signals from just about anything up to, but not including, a 3D or 4K HDMI signal so your Vixia should be fine. Your PROBLEM may be your PC which you do not identify. The PC must have a fast processor and an USB 3 port. A USB 2 port will NOT work very well if at all. My PC has two USB2 and only one USB3 so consult your manual.

[Analog: 16-Bit] Plug and play with my mac and Zoom calls, nice to have the option of SDI or HDMI.

[1x BNC (3G-SDI)] We use this in our storm chaser to capture our feed before it goes out through our LiveU backpack. When recording, saves the footage to a 256GB USB (SanDisk Ultra 3.0). It saved us numerous times when the backpack would go in and out of service. This recorder never missed a frame when recording to the USB. It works so well we bought a second one. It does it a little warm during extended use but that doesn't affect the performance.

[ 4 W] This is a solid capture card that definitely works better for us than other brands. We just used on a webcast and did not have to resync, price is a little higher than expected however worth it to have in the video workbox.

[0.625 lb] I bought this for transferring VHS to USB. The device works great, I just need a good scaler.

It works in SD and HD modes and will not see a EXFAT USB drive. It must be NTSF or Fat 32 of if your a MAC guy you might need something else.

Also, in FAT 32, it will capture continuously, but it will cut your videos into 2GB bits.

[0.625 lb] I first purchased the StarTech Video Capture Adapter Cable, which did work but it took me several days to get digitized video that was acceptable. It also took a long time to end up with MP4 files. I had to do another conversion with an H.264 encoder which more than doubled the production time.

After a chat session with StarTech I decided that the way to go was to purchase their hardware solution. It did cost about 4 times as much, but all of the heavy lifting is done in the hardware and not in software as was the case with the adapter cable product. The hardware figures out the best capture configuration for the video source, then delivers the digitized video to my computer's USB 3.0 port. The Stream Catcher software provided has a few configuration settings, but it's nothing like the complexity of the adapter cable product. And, one of the output formats available is MP4 which was not the case with the other product. The video quality seems very good. The device has a lot of additional capabilities that I don't need, but may be just what others need. Spend a few more dollars and get a really good solution to support your video capture needs.
