[Handle] This little bag is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want a dedicated camera bag. I didn't want my bag to stand out to someone who might want to steal it. I carry my edc backpack and the tenba 10 backpack insert fits in it just right. With the insert in the bag i can still fit in a few extra things that i carry for my edc. The insert doesn't take up the entire bag which i love. I can fit my camera, my 70-200 2.8 and 1-2 spare lenses in the insert depending on the lens choice. The build quality is grrat. Stitching looks good with no loose threads. Materials seem durable and should last. I don't expect the materials to wear out quickly. There are plenty dividers to do multiple layouts inside the insert depending on the camera and amount of lenses you want to use. Overall I am very pleased with the insert and would highly recommend it. Will be getting other tenba inserts in the future.

[Handle] I use this with my Patagonia Snowdrifter 30L pack. It works great for keeping my Sony A7c, Tamron 150-500mm, Tamron 28-200mm, Samyang 18mm, and a few filters organized and protected. There's not a lot of extra space with the three lenses and camera, so I do carry a separate pouch with spare battery, cleaning kit, cables, etc. It's well made. All the seams are finished and solid, with good materials. My only modification suggestion would be to put shoulder strap clips on it so that you could throw it over your shoulder for short walks from the car. (Just don't unzip it and spill all the contents out onto the sidewalk.)

[Handle] I like to carry both photographic and non-photographic items in my backpack, and this insert allows me to do that. It's not heavy but it's sturdy. The zipper opens the insert in a way that makes it easy to access cameras and lenses. This easily holds a full frame with 2 prime lenses. I am also able to squeeze in a Sony A6000 with the 70-350 mm lens and a Sony A7 III with the 35 f/1.4 lens plus camera straps, but it's a tight fit. If you have bigger or more equipment, get the 10 instead of the 9.

[Handle] The Tenba byob 9 insert is perfect for traveling. I can put it into any backpack and it has sufficient padding. It can hold a xt4 with 16-55 f2.8 attached, a flash, and room for a 35 f1.4 lens. This way it doesn't have the appearance of a camera bag.

I planning to use this case to carry my Canon R6 plus two lenses. This case is able to hold the R6 and two lenses but its a tight fit and doesn't leave much room for anything else. The Tenba BYOB 10 is a better fit for full frame bodies and lenses. I think the BYOB 9 slim would be a better fit for small APSC mirrorless cameras.

The case itself is well made and comes with several adjustable dividers so that you can customize the interior space.

[Blue] After getting my camera, I've been looking for a case that can comfortably fit in my backpack, which I use often for hiking and travel. I wasn't too interested in getting a dedicated camera backpack, mainly because I don't want to carry too much stuff with me. After getting recommendations for Tenba's BYOB series, I ended up getting the BYOB 10 DSLR Backpack Insert.

As seen in the pictures attached (Costco card for scale), the main compartment can fit my Nikon Z6iii with an attached Nikkor Z 24-120 f/4 lens, and my Nikkor Z 20mm f/1.8 lens, along with extra batteries, an air blower, battery charger, various filters (and cases) and microfiber cloths. The zipped area inside the bag has extra SD cards, an SD card to USB adapter, CFExpress Type B card to USB adapter, and my camera's mount cap and a lens cap. The side compartments (outside of the bag) has some wires and a basic RGB light. The bag is able to handle these items very well.


The interior of the bag is relatively well-cushioned. I've dropped my backpack multiple times (with this bag inside) and the bag plus its contents always come out fine.


One thing I will note is that I also own a Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 lens for the Z-mount. This lens can *barely* fit in this bag if I remove everything *but* the camera + the other lens, but I would have to remove the paddings to make it work. So, I would keep that in mind.

[Blue] I've been looking for a camera case insert to use in an existing backpack that I already owned. I'm not a fan of the large camera bags and I wanted more flexibility in how I carried my camera gear.

The Tenba 10 BYOD insert is the perfect fit for my Canon R6 and 3 lenses. This allows me to carry the camera and a lens to cover just about any situation. I had originally hoped that Tenba BYOD 9 Slim would be a more compact fit but the shorter height of the BYOD 9 really limits what you can carry (see photos).

The case itself is well constructed and lightweight. It comes with several dividers so that you can customize the storage. The sides of the case feel like they are made of hard plastic to help keep the shape of the case but the top and bottom are made of a thick foam padding.

[0.795 lb] I travel and hike a lot. Some are quick drives, other times I need to fly. When I fly, sometimes I bring a backpack and sometimes I bring an underseat bag......whatever the situation, this little guy does the trick! I keep it always backed with my basic kit: 6D II with a 28-300 lens, a 50mm lens, batteries, charger, and SD cards. One thing I don't have to think about (p.s. there is extra space, maybe enough for a small wide angle)
