Ektar 100 Color Negative Film 127 Roll Filmis a daylight-balanced color negative film characterized by an ultra-vivid color palette, high saturation, and an extremely fine grain structure. Utilizing the cinematic VISION Film technology, this film's smooth grain profile pairs with a micro-structure optimized T-GRAIN emulsion to make it especially well-suited to scanning applications, and advanced development accelerators offer extended versatility when making enlargements. Ektar has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21°. Advanced cubic emulsions and proprietary DIR couplers render it with high sharpness, fine detail, and a well-defined edge quality. The combination of rich colors, fine grain, and optimized sharpness benefit this film's use for nature, travel, and outdoor photography, as well as fashion, product, and other commercial applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Should this film be frozen from day one or can I leave it at room temperature if I plan to use it before expiration date? Thanks.

A: Yes. Can be left in room temperature before expiration date.

Q: 2. WHAT IS THE EXPIRED DAY?

A: The ones I bought last year expire Feb 2018. But it depends when you buy it.

Q: 3. What's the expiration date on this film?

A: The expiration date for Kodak Professional Ektar 100 Color Negative Film (120 Roll Film, 5-Pack) will be at least 6 months after you receive it--this is the B&H Photo policy concerning film expiration dates.

Q: 4. Will this film work in a Nikon N60?

A: Kodak Ektar 100 would work great in a Nikon N60, just not in the 120mm size, you need to order it in 35mm and you're set.

Q: 5. What is the expiration date of the film?

A: Unfortunately, we do not have access to the Kodak Professional Ektar 100 Color Negative Film (120 Roll Film, 5-Pack) to read the expiration date before shipping, but B&H does not sell film that is within 6 months of expiration as new.

Q: 6. Does this film need to be refrigerated for long term storage like was necessary with the old Vericolor?

A: The following information is listed by Kodak for storing Kodak Ektar film: Store unexposed film at 21°C (70°F) or lower in the original sealed package. For extended periods, store film at 13°C (55°F) to preserve consistency. To avoid moisture condensation on film that has been refrigerated, allow the film to warm up to room temperature before opening the package.

Q: 7. Is it fresh film?

A: We usually stock fresh film , for expiration date call our Film department

Q: 8. is negative film the same as slide film?

A: No. Negative film has an orange base and produces a negative image (highlights are dark, shadows are light). It requires scanning and conversion from a negative to a positive image as well as accounting for the orange base.Slide film, on the other hand, produces a positive image on the film and can be scanned much easier as such (the image does not need to be inverted). +Compared to slide film, negative film has more latitude, meaning that it is more flexible and is less likely to give empty shadows or highlights. It also has more dynamic range than slide film.-Conversely, negative film is also lower contrast than slide film, lower saturation, has more grain, and is less sharp.Ektar 100, in particular, is less flexible than the Kodak Portra family of negative films (160/400). It behaves more like slide film than negative film in that it is higher contrast, less flexible, sharper, and more saturated. It is still, however, a negative film. For a film with more latitude (i.e. easier to use), stick to Portra which will also have better skin tones.

Q: 9. what type of camera can be used for this film?

A: Its 35mm film. Its for 35mm cameras.

Q: 10. If there are, as I have heard, no numbers on the back of the film, can it be used in older cameras?

A: 120 film may work but not with 220 film as it has no paper backing and the film will fog through the red button.

[130.0 µm] Absolutely loved shooting this film on the beach with my Pentax645N. You will want to make sure you don't underexpose or it goes a little orange, but when you meter correctly and even push up a little, it's beautiful.
