A part of their modular Astro T-2 system, the Baader Wide T-Ring Set for FUJIFILM X | Alpine Astronomicalis made up of two parts: The camera-specific bayonet mount ring and an inner adapter ring with standard T-2 female threads. The bayonet ring is designed specifically to fit FUJIFILM X DSLR cameras and provides a safe and secure connection.

Out of the box, it will work like a conventional T-ring: It is compatible with all T-2 accessories on the market—including Baader's entire T-2 Astro modular line. But unlike conventional rings, the inner threaded ring can be unmounted from the bayonet ring, allowing the bayonet ring to be used with Baader's S52 rings and accessories. Removing the inner T-2 adapter presents a larger clear aperture than a normal T-ring, which is good for full-frame cameras.

The bayonet ring can also be directly mounted to Baader's Universal Filter Changer (UFC) System without the need for additional adapters. This direct-connection capability provides a solid connection without adding any optical distance. Additionally, a more conventional 2" nosepiece can be installed on the bayonet ring in place of the T-2 ring for mounting your camera body directly into 2" eyepiece holders or accessories.

A: Currently B&H does not stock an adapter allowing the Alpine Astronomical H-Alpha 20nm Bandpass Filter (2") to a camera lens with a 62mm thread.

Q: 8. Why are there two Herschel wedges, photo and visual?? why can't one wedge be used for both with some adjustments?

A: The Alpine Astronomical Baader Cool-Ceramic Safety Herschel Solar Photographic Prism Mark II includes all the items in the visual version with the addition of 1.8, 0.9, and 0.6 neutral density filters. Aside for the extra filters, the other components are exactly the same.

Q: 9. Will this fit a M48 X .75 thread?

A: This is an M42 Thread, so it will not fit that threading size.

[0.085 lb] Very nice. Could use one more thread though. Seems a little short on threading when trying to attach and remove while making lens changes in the dark. Makes me a little nervous sometimes that I will drop it during removal from the lens. Good quality though and I like having it around. 5

[0.085 lb] I have an older model spotting scope that had long ago been used on a 35mm film camera and now wanted to try it on a Canon EOS camera. Talked to camera support and the this is the ring I needed for scope to work with my Canon. From preliminary testing, works great and now to see just how good it can be. I expect it to give good to great results. 5

[0.085 lb] I am using the clamp on a SkyWatcher Star Adventurer 2i mount. It is quite versatile in that it can be attached to a mount in several ways. It is very well built and enables secure attachment of lenses/telescopes with Vixen dovetail bars. A very good value. 5

[38] I recently purchased a Nexstar C5. I wanted to replace the 1 1/4" Visual back adapter and supplied diagonal. The Baader Short T adapter allows the use of the Baader T2 prism on this telescope. This combination has full clearance from the drive base at zenith. Some thing that you have to be very careful of when you replace any of the optical path with larger or better products. It also allows for clearance when the Celestron Wi-Fi adapter is inserted into the base. For the smaller nextar mounts the adapter is almost directly under the telescope but at an angle. The combination of this T adapter with the prism is very efficient tight and requires no set screws. It absolutely looks like how this mounting should've been done originally. Please note that the prism is the smallest T2 diagonal that Baader makes with the 32 mm clear light path. And normally comes equipped with an 1 1/4" nose piece on one side and an 1 1/4" eyepiece holder with helical fine focuser on the other. Simply unscrew the nosepiece from the prism and replace it with this short T adapter. There are larger diagonals with both mirror and prism in the Baader line and I cannot vouch for clearance with those models. 5
