A: I don't see why you couldn't. All you need is an Internet connection (wifi) and the app on your phone. The thermostat itself will need a 12v power connection at the mounting location in your home as well.

A: Yes it will. But per Google: Your system requires advanced configuration and wiring. If you have one of these systems, contact a local pro. A: Often Nest Thermostats are able to function over the two wires. when you connect it it will advise you whether you have the wrong setup. Another option is a commercially available add a wire kit to make up if it wont work without the common wire.

[LCD] Easy to install, User Friendly, great to have the ability to adjust the temperature within the home prior to arriving back home from vacationing away. The Away Assist function is great, knows when there in no one home based on your Mobile Phone's location. Just install the Nest, your schedule will be set according to the learned schedule of your presence and degree of heat or cool setting. 5

[2x AAA Alkaline] This is one of the first things you should buy if you want to call your home "smart". It's great to be able to control/view my home's temperature from anywhere. It's helped me lower my monthly bill and it's schedule is amazing as well because you don't even need to program it, it does it for you! Great device, great look equals one happy customer. 5

[Google Home] Looks great, functions great, easy mount. As a bit finicky to install on the phone as it have errors regarding wires(I don't have AC), eventually it worked, I checked I got all the wires just so I can bypass the install screen and then removed some of them in the wiring page later(I only have G, W, R, C). Make sure you have the C wire available, or you'll need to re-wire a new cable to your furnace(as I did a 4 cable wire), or I've seen online you could externally supply power, otherwise you'll get errors and will not work with WiFi 5
