The EF-mount Meike FF-Prime Cine 50mm T2.1 Lens EF-Mountis one of a series of Meike FF-Prime Cine 50mm T2.1 Lens EF-Mountlenses featuring a 45mm image circle for full-frame sensor coverage. Compact for a full-frame lens, with a T2.1 aperture that is fast yet provides more than a razor-thin depth of field wide open, you can use this lens wide open without making it impossible for your focus puller to keep your subject in focus. The cine industry-standard 0.8 MOD focus and iris gears make it easy to use this lens with follow focus units or lens motors, and an 11-bladed aperture helps provide natural-looking out-of-focus highlights with a natural-looking bokeh.

Scale markings are provided in both feet and meters, and a focus rotation of 330° allows for precision manual focus adjustment. With a 50mm focal length, this cine lens has a horizontal angle of view of 39.1° and a minimum focus distance of 23.6".

It is also worth noting that Rokinon has several lines of cinema lenses from their DS series to their Xeen and Xeen CF. The Meike are closest to the Xeen CF in build quality. The Meike are compact sturdy lenses.

A: The image quality is approximately the same. the difference is that additional glass, "a 45mm image circle for full-frame sensor coverage" is added to the full frame version VS the 33.6mm image circle on the super 35 version.

A: Yes you could use this on a S35 sensor size. Super 35 sensors will add a 1.5x magnification to the lens. This 35mm lens would look like a 52mm view when used on crop sensor S35 cameras.

[50mm] This is a perfect step up from photo lenses into Cine lenses. If your wondering if you will see a difference between a set of Sigma Art glass and this... You will! I personally think the falloff and flaring on these lenses are perfect for the Modern/vintage blend with a slightly warmer tone then DZO Primes I find these to be a little more welcoming to skin tones. If you're wondering if this is worth the price tag. I'd say so! 5

[2.84 lb] I bought the 35mm,50mm and 85mm lens from the Meike Full Frame Line and I have to say I am very impressed. The body has a good build quality, and the image has what I I feel is an appropriate amount sharpness and contrast. I used these lenses on a feature film in September, and the lenses did everything I needed them too. I frequently use these lenses on a Red Komodo and a Black Magic Pocket 4k, and occasionally on other camera systems and I have been happy with the image they produce on every camera sensor I have put them on. 5

[45.0 mm] I seriously LOVE what these lenses do as an intro set of Cine glass. As a long time Sigma Art series user I didn't realize how much of an upgrade this was going to be from Photo glass. I'm super happy with the money i spent on this and also the 35mm. I will be getting the 24mm and 85mm ASAP! 5

[Full Frame] I really love this lens. It just stays on the Ursa permanently. Many great directors use the 50mm as a standard (I'm thinking of Ozu), and I've personally always found the 50mm the most versatile focal length. And this lens is superb. I used the Rokinon lenses before this, which I appreciated, but this lens has more character. I really like the long throw, the build quality, and just the creamy look of this lens. 5

[82 mm] I've used ROKINON lenses which were quite above average. The Sirui anamorphic lens was even better. I just finished my first feature using the Sirui. Now that I just used this Meike FF on my Bmpcc4k for my trailer.... I am just blown away by the depth of field, bokeh and color depth of this lens. The quality, the weight, the build quality is on par to a much more expensive cine lens. This is the range of a 5k plus cine lens. I'm planning on buying the other focal lengths as well 5

[82 mm] It does its job. Cool cine lens that you can use on your Canin R Series with an nd adapter. Did a music video with it a couple of days ago and came out great! 5

[11] I was looking for sharpness and found it. While some of my other lens may be faster, I rarely open them up all the way. Shooting this lens at 2.8 resulted in very sharp images. 5
