Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can it be considered a carry on on a plane?

A: This would be too big to be carry-on luggale on most airlines.

Q: 2. How much weight can this carry overall?

A: There is no load capacity for backpacks--the pack will hold whatever the person carrying it can support.

Q: 3. Will this fit a seat on a domestic flight?

A: It depends on the airline as different airlines have different requirements. The f-stop Mountain Series Lotus Backpack Essentials Bundle 32L is larger than the average dimensions of 18 x 14 x 8 inches.

Q: 4. Is there a slot for a laptop?

A: Yes f-stop Shinn Expedition Backpack (Anthracite/Matte Black, 80L) has a slot for 17" laptop.

Q: 5. Can I use the small ICU with this bag and will it be counted as a carry on with the airlines?

A: The ICU it comes with goes inside the bag so it will be counted as one carry on with the airlines.

Q: 6. can it be taken on an airplane

A: The f-stop Shinn expedition backpack measures much larger than typical carry-on specifications. Please contact your carrier for confirmation, as such restrictions change based on plane/plane size, boarding group, and flight class (first/business/economy).

A: Yes the f-stop Shinn Expedition Backpack 80L can be loaded from the top when combined with the f-stop Master ICU Cine insert shown at this link: https://bhpho.to/3XRQDEl

Q: 8. Are YKK zippers used? Thanks.

Q: 9. How big does the waist strap extend?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer was unable to supply us with this specific information.

Q: 10. Does it come with a Camera Compartment (adjustable dividers)? Camera Compartment size please?

[4.85 lb] For mi kind of work in sports events and trekking is an excellent backpack. fully wetproof and lots of zips to reach confortable the equipment. Also it is not to big, just a good size for 1 body, 3 lenses, flash, drone and some batteries and chargers.

[Universal] I've been putting off getting a new backpack for some time but finally decided, since it was long overdue, that I had to do it. I had been skeptical of buying one without getting to try it on but after reading the reviews decided to jump in.
I really love this pack. It's the right size for me, volume wise & the fit is great. Really like that it can carry a hydration bladder for those longer days, plus all the extra layers needed for changeable weather. Build is very solid & I look forward to many years of use.
If your in the market, I'd highly recommend this pack.

[4.85 lb] As a landscape photographer, my ability to carry gear over distance is always a challenge. The Kashmir keeps the most essential parts of other hiking-centric packs, the internal frame, and brings the best elements of photography bags to create the right balance for me.

With the internal frame making my full kit (a Fujifilm X-T3 and three lenses, tripod, filters) easy to carry for distances, the back panel access keeps everything easily accessible at a moments notice. I don't find myself leaving gear at home, or missing shots because it's a hassle to get the camera out from the pack.

Only negatives: The zippers could be better. They don't catch, but they're small and I worry about longevity. We'll see. Some attachment points for accessories get in the way of the zippers as well.

[Yes] This bag is awesome, period. There's not many choices in a bag this large, so it is what it is, but this is my third f-stop bag and I love them all. The ICU is huge and very flexible in terms of configuration. I'm moving up from a MindShift 36L bag (which def doesn't feel half as small as this Shinn, FWIW). The MindShift does not have a removable ICU, which honestly I could take or leave. I kinda like the simplicity and firmer construction of having the ICU integrated rather than removable, but it's not of consequence. I could see some value in having multiple ICUs that you can drop in, configured for different types of jobs or equipment.

For me, I've got mine packed with all Canon gear... (2) R5 bodies with cages, EF 300mm f/2.8L with RF adapter mounted, RF 85mm f1.2L, RF 28-70mm f2L (for stills), RF 24-70mm f2.8L IS (for video), RF 100mm 2.8L Macro, an f-stop filter pouch, tons of batteries, cage top handle for one of the R5 bodies, drop-in filters for the 300L, rocket blower, spare cards, etc. And then I've still got extra flexible room for an Area 51 tether cable, Edelkrone follow focus and rails, small audio rec setup, etc. depending on the job. Mayyybe my Ronin RS3 Pro gimbal, but that would be very tight fit.

The bag is heavy as h*ll with all that big glass in there, not gonna lie. Is what it is.

The construction of the bag and materials is absolutely top notch- you won't find anything better. The exterior zippers are all weather resistant and rubberized, which can make opening a little less smooth, but I'll take the protection from dust/water.

[Universal] I had an F-Stop pack some years ago, I think a now-discontinued model, but it got stolen out of my car - luckily empty. Anyway, like I remember with the previous one, the Loka is well designed and well made. It's comfortable and has plenty of space for my needs. Light weight too, but remember you gotta get an ICU in there and, depending on which one you get, it can double the weight. Would like a selection of colors - preferring something that blends in a bit more with the environment - but that's not a big deal to me. I'm pleased with the purchase.

[Yes] From the moment I got it I knew it was exactly what I wanted and needed. It has a pouch for my hydration pack which was top on my list for must haves. I hate carrying water bottles.
The material leaves no doubts that it will repel water and keep all your camera gear along with the other gear you have in there as well.
Simple zip pouches and tons of room.
