This technology provides wide-bandwidth and high-speed sound reproduction and, in combination with the high-current power supply, holds a large energy reserve to drive demanding speakers. Thermal compensation helps avoid memory distortion for clean amplification under nearly any circumstances.

The PM6007 features Hi-Res D/A conversion. It uses the AK4490 D/A converter, which provides up to 192 kHz / 24-bit resolution for enhanced fidelity with your Hi-Res audio files.

The power supply supports high-current, high-speed Shottky barrier diodes and high-current storage capacitors fed by a toroidal transformer that work together to provide wide dynamic range and low impedance drive capability.

Toroidal transformers have several advantages over EI core transformers, including a more efficient design that delivers more power compared to an EI transformer of the same size. Its shape delivers low electromagnetic radiation and mechanical vibration for enhanced sound quality.

HDAM-SA3 technology replaces standard ICs and consist of discrete surface mount components with short mirror-image L/R signal paths. These HDAMs (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) do the same thing Op-amps, but are engineered to outperform them in terms of the slew rate and reduced noise for more dynamic, accurate, detailed sound. In the PM6007, the idling current stability of the HDAM-SA3 circuit is less influenced by power transistor temperatures to help maintain sound performance, even at high outputs.

One digital coaxial and two optical inputs are onboard to connect digital devices and play Hi-Res Audio (up to 192 kHz / 24-bit PCM). The digital section is shielded by an extra metal housing unit to help ensure that the digital stage has no effect on the analog signal. The two-mode digital filter (Filter 1 / Filter 2) allows for optimized reproduction of digital music via the DAC. Filter 1 is a slow roll-off preset that enhances deep stereo imaging, and Filter 2 is a sharp roll-off filter for more precise imaging.

The PM6007 has a subwoofer output with a fixed low-pass cutoff frequency at 150 Hz, so you can enjoy accurate bass with virtually no audible peaks or dips, regardless of your subwoofer's placement.

The PM6007 uses a FET (Field-Effect Transistor) in the input stage to help deliver high input impedance, eliminating the need for AC coupling capacitors, simplifying the signal path, and lowering distortion and noise to augment overall signal purity.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This amp, like the S501 and the S701, shows the tone controls at Bass (20 Hz) and Treble (20kHz), +/- 10 db. What does this mean? Most people can't hear anything at 20 or 20k hz anyway. Thanks

A: The +/- treble and bass controls on the Yamaha A-S301 receiver gives you control over the level of the bass and treble roll off so that you can increase the bass for enhanced bass response or decrease it if you feel the bass coming out of your particular speakers might be too strong and it would be the same for the treble.

Q: 2. None of the A-S#01 amplifiers has a Line Out - Front panel controls don't affect REC outputs. How to connect Bluetooth XMTR?

A: The Yamaha A-S301 Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black), BH # YAAS301BL will connect to external components via its RCA stereo (L/R) output ports on its rear panel.

Q: 3. I am looking at the Yamaha amplifier AS 30l to upgrade my old system. I have Bang & O Danish speakers with free wires at the end of each cable. I see no place for free wires on this amplifier or the Yamaha AS500. It looks like I need the RCA Male Stereo Audio cable end pieces. If this is correct, would you let me know please. All of this is for a 32 inch Smart TV which is the largest size which will fit the space. The picture is great, but the sound options are driving my audiophile ears crazy. I do see a way to get the TV audio into the amplifier and that is by the digital audio output (optical), but no such place appears on the Yamaha AS500. There is a single audio output hole on the back of the TV, but that is beyond my ancient experience. I dont see an audio input on the amplifier of one hole. Am I wrong? My laptop enlarged image of the back of the amplifier leaves a lot to be desired. You will be happy to know that there is no problem with my Sony CD/DVD player which was purchased from you. I will also use my B & O turntable and be able to play my vinyl records again. As I said, we are talking older or ancient!

A: This receiver offers binding posts that will accept bare wire speaker leads.

Q: 4. total watts at 4ohms ? Model PM6007

A: Power Output 45 W per Channel @ 8 Ohms RMS 60 W per Channel @ 4 Ohms RMS 50 mW / 32 Ohms (Headphone)

Q: 5. Documentation says supports playing from sources with a MM cartridge... I assume it works fine with Moving Coil?

A: While it may be possible to use Moving Coil with the Denon PMA-600NE 90W Stereo Integrated Amplifier, it is not recommended. A better option would be the Denon PMA-900HNE 100W Integrated Network Amplifier which is specifically designed for this, BH #DEMA900HNE (https://bhpho.to/3PNxkrz).

Q: 6. Can an equalizer be used at the recorder input/output connections?

A: To be able to connect an equalizer into the Denon PMA-600NE, it would need to start with your source device, going into the EQ and then outputting to one of the inputs on the Denon PMA-600NE.

Q: 7. Is the subwoofer output for use with powered or passive subs?

A: The subwoofer output is intended for a self-powered subwoofer.

Q: 8. Can I adjust the volume and the crossover frequency of the subwoofer from settings?

A: According to the manual for the Denon PMA-600NE, it does not allow you to adjust the crossover frequency of the subwoofer. It only allows for control of your bass, treble and balance. https://manuals.denon.com/PMA600NE/NA/EN/DNTXSYdqvgyxtl.php

Q: 9. Is POWER AMP IN the same as PRE OUT?

A: No. The Power Amp In is used when you connect an external preamp to the Marantz Model 40n so that you can use the Model 40n as a power amplifier.

Q: 10. Does this amp take Banana Plugs to hook up the speakers?

A: The Yamaha A-S301 Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black) BH #YAAS301BL would accept banana plugs.

[2.0] I have Bose 901 speakers which require an active equalizer so I need a preamp power amp combo. I have a Marantz 5 channel receiver to drive the center and other channels and this works great with the receiver to drive the 901s as the front speakers. B&H shipped this unit quickly and there were no problems.

[Phono: 100 mV] I bought the PM6007 three years ago (and the CD6007 too) and it actually drives a pair of Triangle Borea BR08 floorstand loudspeakers, no problem at all with their minimum impedance of 3.3Ohm.
Very satisfied of its sonic performance, the bass is full and deep, the highs are detailed, the declared 45W are enough for my 34m^2 living room, website Audio.com.pl tested it and found 64W @ 8Ohm and 81W @ 4Ohm at 0.1% THD, so better than declared.
Using its optical input you can connect it to a smart TV and listen the TV audio via the external HiFi speakers, much better than a soundbar!
A pity it hasn't the Bluetooth input too but I use a cheap external BT receiver with Optical out so I can use its good AK4490 internal DAC.
Would be perfect if it would have the "Pre Out" + "Ampli In" RCA loopout so you can connect an external analog signal processor (e.g. an equalizer) or use the power amplifier stage to drive the main speakers in conjunction with an AVR receiver.
Conclusion: I would buy it again!

[20 x 18.8 x 7"] Really great to hear the details otherwise lost in built in amplifiers. This is a bargain for what you get. Midrange is on-target, dynamic swings are much more evident in critical music listening, and the low end is really sweet. Runs much cooler than the built amplifier in a Denon x3700 AVR. Dedicated power is a huge improvement and really the only way to go!

[20 x 18.8 x 7"] I am looking to buy this power amp to improve on my nr1510. It is important for me for the mm7025 to turn on automatically with the nr1510. Will the remote control-out (RC-5) turn on and off the mm7025 if I connect to the remote-in (RC-5) of the mm7025? What type of cable do I use? (regular rca?) Are there any settings in the nr1510 I have to toggle on?

[4 to 16 Ohms] I have had this for about 3 years. Mainly used as main living room amp for cable and my Pro-Ject turntable. This thing is plenty powerful and has no issues with anything, even some really old JBLs. I usually use some dual 8 references and I never turn volume over 10oclock, and it’s a decent size room. Aside from being loud, the quality and clarity of the sound is great. The direct source option is awesome amd the 2 added filter for optical add some depth to the sound. This is just as good, if not better than integrated amps at nearly twice the price. Lives up to the marantz name. Very happy about this purchase and will continue to buy Marantz products.

[2.0] I have a home cinema Denon X3700h+Marantz MM8077 that powers 7 Klipsch speakers. I listen to a lot of music in stereo mode. The sound is amazing I love it and I thought it couldn't get any better. Until I got the Marantz pm6007... This little beast is just amazing. I know I compare an AV Receiver with a stereo amplifier but everybody told me "You don't need a stereo Amplifier, the receiver has a pretty good DAC". I'm so glad I didn't listen to them. I played a song to my Denon, and in the middle of the song I switched to the Marantz PM6007. And the sound comes alive. When the Receiver plays the song it's like I put a blanket on the speaker. But when I switch to Marantz - it's like I remove the blanket, the sound becomes more alive, more crystalline, and spatial. I love it and I strongly recommend to anyone who likes clarity in the sound

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] The MM7025 replaced a vintage power amplifier and gave new life to my dedicated stereo system.
I have both analogue and digital sources, a PrimaLuna tubed preamplifier and B&W 702 S2 floor standing speakers, and this Marantz has proved to be a fundamental link in this chain. It leans a little to the warm side (which I like) and improved the sound of my speakers, with tight bass, very sweet highs, and transparent voices. At this prices level, I can't imagine anything better. 100% recommended.

[2.0] To express my experience so far I do not know how. I want to play every album, CD or stream every artist. I know its not possible, I played Earth Wind and Fire's "That's The Way Of The World" it was sounded so warm like the first time heard it the 70's.
