This Cokin Z-Pro Hard-Edge Graduated ND 0.9 Filteris designed for use with a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder. It helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a hard-edged line of transition is useful for images which include defined horizon lines. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 3-stop reduction in light from entering a lens.

This filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 1.6mm thick.

A: The Cokin NUANCES Extreme Z-Pro Series ND 3.0 Filter (10-Stop) will not work with a lens that is 95mm.

A: Glass in the specifications is a typo. Each filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 1.6mm thick.

A: It's not a graduated ND filter so there is no edge on it. The same amount of light is blocked across the entire ND filter.

A: No, you should not have an issue with using the Canon 17-40mm lens with the Cokin Z-PRO Filter Holder. The Canon 17-40mm uses 77mm filters, and would need the Cokin 77mm Z-PRO Adapter Ring (0.75mm Pitch Thread), B&H # COARZP77, to connect the adapter ring to the filter holder. The Cokin Z-PRO filter holder is large enough for lenses with 95mm filter threads, and would be large enough to prevent vignetting on the 17-40mm lens.
