The Miller Air SOLO-Q 75 Carbon Fiber Tripod 2-Stageis a lightweight fluid head for the videographer on the go. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can i screw and manfrotto 502 head on this?

A: If the head comes with 75mm half-ball, then yes you can. Otherwise you would need a 75mm half ball. I'm using Manfrotto 520 and it works fine with a bit of greasing.

Q: 2. Can i take out the mid level spreader simply without any tool, is it easily removable? That would come handy if i want to go lower with the tripod

A: Yes, the following spreader can be removed and replaced.

Q: 3. Will the Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech fit on this tripod?

A: You will just need a 75mm half ball adapter to use that head on this tripod. https://bhpho.to/31OOD4c

Q: 4. Will the Manfrotto 504HD head fit on this tripod? https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/683559-REG/Manfrotto_504HD_504HD_Fluid_Video_Head.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/683559-REG/Manfrotto_504HD_504HD_Fluid_Video_Head.html/aDo I need any adapters?

A: It should fit, I used it with Manfrotto 502 and 516 fluid head. This is one of the best designed tripods I've ever used. One lever controls both leg extensions at the same time. Very quick setup.

Q: 5. it says it has an 88LB capacity, but amazon has it rated for 9LBS?

A: Hello,My manager sat on the bowl, and he weighs probably about 120 lb. Amazon is quite wrong, or may be referencing the recommended payload of a kit, which bases max load off of the head. Recommended payload is 88 lb., but it can physically exceed that, though it won't be working optimally and runs the risk of a slip or collapse.

Q: 6. It says with 75mm ball but see the ball nowhere in any of the photos of descriptions. Rather it says 75mm bowl. Does this version come with a ball?

A: This product doesn't include a tripod head. You can get the same version with the head.

Q: 7. Do the legs slide out on their own or do you have to pull them out?

A: How many turns does it take to go from tight to loose enough for leg slide? Thanx!

Q: 8. How does this tripod hold up after long terme use? I've read the rubber feet fall off easily after a while. How about the locks, do they stay secure over time?

A: This is a good entry level tripod and will work as expected. If you have a long term project with anticipated hard use, you may wish to invest in a tripod meant for such use.

Q: 9. Hi! I plan to use this tripod with a Sachtler aktiv fluid head, but for that I need to make sure of the compatibility. There is a centered hole in the bowl where the head is mounted and I would like to know it's diameter. Could you please check it for me?

A: Yes. The following unit will adapt to the 75mm bowl drop.

Q: 10. Is it me going blind, or does it not indicate the maximum height of this tripod?

A: This tripod will reach a range of 15 to 80".

[Fluid Head] I use this for documentary filmmaking. The head is completely smooth and well built. The legs are very stable and easy to use.

[Fluid Head] Im a local filmer from Port Macquarie, Australia and let me say that the DS-10 Aluminum Tripod System is by far the best tripod iv ever experienced with its super smooth pan you cant even screw up on purpose. I give the tripod 100% but I think a simple dolly should be included half price if the tripod exceeds a certain amount maybe? Food for thought. But I Thank you for creating such a prime product!!!

[5.8 lb] I bought this a few years back to use with my Panasonic HVX200a. Works like a dream. I do a lot of short form documentary production, and this Miller is perfect. The carbon fiber construction indeed makes the unit very light. I carried it while backpacking around Western Europe for a month, and it was fantastic. Very quick to setup and breakdown. I also like how low to the ground I can get with the concentric leg angle locks. The bag is very high quality as well. All around it is a very rugid product, which is perfect for my documentary productions. Those Australians can sure make a tripod. At this price point, this Miller is your best choice.

[+90° to -75°] There are many reviews on this tripod, but bottom line: it is excellent! It's reasonably priced and can accommodate a pretty heavy rig. I'm impressed. I love the next to nothing weight as well!

[Fluid Head] I use this tripod with my Canon 60D and camera accessories. The head can comfortably deal with a little weight over 10lbs, but not a ton more. Personally, I like the aluminum legs better than the carbon fiber. In a short time, the tripod has been in mud, rain, and it has worked great. Used the Scarlett on it a week ago and the weight was not an issue. Totally smooth pan and tilt. Great locks. Do yourself a favor and get more than one camera plate. This way you won't have to keep swapping it from one camera to another.

[5.8 lb] This thing is a beast. I can't get over how well it's designed. I have Bogen tripods that are twice the weight and seem flimsy. This thing is light and solid as a rock. The head is smooth as silk. I originally ordered this tripod because of it's ability to set low to the ground (so I could use it with my Indislider), but now I am replacing all my Bogen tripods with this beast. Bogen = a piece of junk compared to this rig. Worth every penny, trust me.

[5.8 lb] Have been a long time Bogen user looking for a good lightweight versatile tripod system. After seeing the DV20 in action at a videographers convention i was sold. Its rock solid even though I was used to a mid-level spreader. My first assignment was shooting a modeling segment and I loved the fact that I could get so low to the ground with this tripod.
