The Miller CX2 SOLO-Q 75 Carbon Fiber 3-Stage Tripodis designed to accommodate a wide payload range with 16 steps of counterbalance. Pan, tilt, and counterbalance can all be set to zero, enabling even the lightest of cameras to be supported. Maxed out, this head is rated to support camera setups up to 17.5 pounds, suitable for a DSLR or mirrorless camera rig, a smaller cinema camera, or a small ENG camcorder. Securing your camera or rig is easy. The sideload plate design enables you to simply drop in your camera without the alignment issues posed by rear-loading variations. The plate offers 2.4" of sliding range to balance your rig.

To survive fast-paced shooting environments, the CX2 is die-cast from a lightweight, yet durable metal alloy with composite polymers and precision ball-bearings for smooth mechanical operation. Even in harsh conditions, the CX2 will perform reliably. The base of the CX2 is a 75 ball for mounting to compatible tripods and grip equipment. An illuminated bubble level makes it easy to level the CX2 in dark environments. A pan handle with a 15.4" fixed length is included and a second rosette is incorporated for attaching an optional second pan handle.

A: It should fit, I used it with Manfrotto 502 and 516 fluid head. This is one of the best designed tripods I've ever used. One lever controls both leg extensions at the same time. Very quick setup.

Q: 6. I want to transport this tripod without the ball head in an international flight. What are the dimensions when completely fold, does it fit in a regular check-in bag?

A: Its folded/collapsed dimensions are 28" in length, with roughly a 8" diameter (including apex/spider). It might fit diagonally within a large check-in bag, but your results may vary based on luggage size, carrier restrictions, etc.

Q: 7. Hi! I plan to use this tripod with a Sachtler aktiv fluid head, but for that I need to make sure of the compatibility. There is a centered hole in the bowl where the head is mounted and I would like to know it's diameter. Could you please check it for me?

A: Yes. The following unit will adapt to the 75mm bowl drop.

Q: 8. Do the legs slide out on their own or do you have to pull them out?

A: How many turns does it take to go from tight to loose enough for leg slide? Thanx!

Q: 9. can i screw and manfrotto 502 head on this?

A: If the head comes with 75mm half-ball, then yes you can. Otherwise you would need a 75mm half ball. I'm using Manfrotto 520 and it works fine with a bit of greasing.

Q: 10. I'm planning to purchase this kind of tripod but do I need to purchase Manfrotto 520BALL 75mm Half Ball too in able for me to mount my Manfrotto 502AH Pro Video Head with Flat Base? Does it included in the package?

A: The Manfrotto 520BALL 75mm Half Ball is not included with this tripod. You will have to purchase it as well to mount the 502AH head on it. https://bhpho.to/2P4qQZm

[75 mm Half Ball] Great tripod. Light. Secure lock. Could not ask for better. Like it better than Sachlers since I hate the spreader. Used big Manfrotto's in the past. No comparison. Own a Gitzo as well, which is close to Miller but still like Miller. Will buy Miller again if I need another one.

[Fluid Head] This tripod system is excellent. I mainly shoot with a 5dmkII with rails, audio gear, follow focus, etc that totals to at least 20lbs and this tripod handles it all with ease. This is lightyears better than my previous Manfrotto tripods (which were also good...this is just much better). The head is solidly constructed and the fluid head is buttery. It extends as high as I will ever need (camera is well over my head, and I'm 6 foot), and the leg locking system is easy to use, even with a loaded tripod. Suprisingly solid for having no spreaders.

[Yes] There are many reviews on this tripod, but bottom line: it is excellent! It's reasonably priced and can accommodate a pretty heavy rig. I'm impressed. I love the next to nothing weight as well!

[Yes] This thing is a beast. I can't get over how well it's designed. I have Bogen tripods that are twice the weight and seem flimsy. This thing is light and solid as a rock. The head is smooth as silk. I originally ordered this tripod because of it's ability to set low to the ground (so I could use it with my Indislider), but now I am replacing all my Bogen tripods with this beast. Bogen = a piece of junk compared to this rig. Worth every penny, trust me.

[8.6 lb] The DS-10 is light, the head action very smooth, the tripod is quick to set up and tear down. Let the legs out gently, though. One of the coolest things about the DS-10 is how low it goes: there's just enough clearance so the leveling handle isn't on the ground. In that configuration, it looks like a three-legged spider. So you can easily get extremely low shots on a fluid head, and the rubber feet let you stick it in the middle of a long, expensive board room table without leaving a mark. Lack of a spreader makes them hard to sandbag, which is where lightness can cause trouble. We've rented DS-20's as well. Bigger, heavier, not quite as flexible but able to handle larger loads.

[+90° to -75°] I bought this a few years back to use with my Panasonic HVX200a. Works like a dream. I do a lot of short form documentary production, and this Miller is perfect. The carbon fiber construction indeed makes the unit very light. I carried it while backpacking around Western Europe for a month, and it was fantastic. Very quick to setup and breakdown. I also like how low to the ground I can get with the concentric leg angle locks. The bag is very high quality as well. All around it is a very rugid product, which is perfect for my documentary productions. Those Australians can sure make a tripod. At this price point, this Miller is your best choice.

[Yes] Have been a long time Bogen user looking for a good lightweight versatile tripod system. After seeing the DV20 in action at a videographers convention i was sold. Its rock solid even though I was used to a mid-level spreader. My first assignment was shooting a modeling segment and I loved the fact that I could get so low to the ground with this tripod.
