[Mini-DVI Male] We needed an adapter to hook up devices with the mini display port to our older projector in the boardroom to do presentations and such. This cable let us do exactly that. [Mini-DVI Male] Plugged it in with an old 2007 MacBook, works as stated. I don't know if it's because of the age of my laptop, but I do also need to run separate audio to my amplifier. The mini-DVI port does not transmit audio. 5
