Q: 1. Does the safety pin have a way of flattening to slide a plate in place. Or do you have to completely unscrew and lift plate out? Maybe pull back on the turning knob?

A: You will need to drop and lift plates in and out. The whole point of safety pin is to prevent the plate sliding out if knob or clamp were to loosen. So the only way to get out is completely loosen and lift out. Note that if you were to use other branded plates the pin may never project into void anyway so plate will slide out. I use a lot of Novoflex plates which are designed for pin closer to center line. So the plates keep the pin depressed in and safety feature doesn't work. But FLM make great light weight plates that work perfectly with this clamp. But if I use a Novoflex clamp both my Novoflex and FLM plates work perfectly with safety pin. I think most plate brands have a void space closer to center line because that is where fastening screw is located. It is a very slight location change but it makes a difference for me. In my opinion FLM make better plates but Novoflex makes a better clamp, just comparing these German makes.

A: It opens from 33mm to 38mm, you'll have to slide in your plate from the side.

A: We see no issue if you use this with the Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 with Panning System B&H # ARMPOPS. In fact, we are of the opinion that this clamp will work better than OEM or other 3rd party clamps.

Q: 10. I have Feisol 3442 with center column and P0 ball head, so the legs fold up over the ballhead and QR plate to make a very compact package. Do the protrusions on this plate allow the legs to fold completely? Because of the position of the QR knob, bubble level, and corners on my current square plate it is pretty fiddly to get it all lined up and fit into the Feisol carry bag.

A: The FLM SRB-60 Quick Release Clamp is very close. It has not been tested but if the clamp is 60mm it should just work.
